The Chronicle are reporting that Newcastle will soon get a deadline date to sign Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen or else he will not be sold this month.
Newcastle’s second bid was £15M for the striker yesterday but that’s at least £5M short of the Dutch club’s valuation of the player,
The Chronicle are reporting that sources in Holland have told them that Feyenoord want an answer on whether Newcastle still want to sign their striker – as talks have gone on and on.
Nicolai Jorgensen – Feyenoord striker
It’s typical Newcastle, who are undecided whether to bid again for the striker or whether they will go after an alternative – who would be cheaper.
Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has said that if they are to sell Jorgensen he would want a replacement brought in – and time is running out fast in this window.
Feyenoord will play PSV Eindhoven at the De Kuip Stadium next Wednesday night, and it’s a huge game for them.
Wednesday is also deadline day and it’s an important game for Feyenoord.
They don’t want to be working on a last minute transfer bid from Newcastle which is exactly what Newcastle may have been planning.
It could help Newcastle to make up their mind.
That’s something they have not been very good at with Mike Ashley as owner – because they don’t like to spend too much money.
