Newcastle Seem To Have Given Up On Jorgensen – Too Expensive?

Feyenoord gave Newcastle almost an ultimatum yesterday and wanted the Tyneside club to buy Jorgensen quickly so they can concentrate on a game against PSV on deadline day – this Wednesday.

But Jorgensen is in the side today who will play against Den Haag and that’s hardly good news for Newcastle fans.

As far as Feyenoord are concerned the deal may even be off as Newcastle seem to be looking at other cheaper alternative targets as it seems that £20M is too much for us to pay for the Danish striker.

Nicolai Jorgensen – have Newcastle lost interest?

There was some news today in the Sun that Newcastle could be after 24-year-old Brazilain striker Luan who plays for Gremio, has been offered to Newcastle for around £17.5M.

Liverpool are also interested in the player, but Gremio have offered him to Newcastle for a fee which is £2.5M less than the £20M Feyenoord want.

So since the only thing Mike Ashley thinks about is money, we assume he will want Rafa to sign Luan, who has been capped twice by Brazil and is good player.

If Rafa wants to do that then fine – as long as the manager gets who he wants this month.

    Blackley – “Tsunki
What are you watching? I called it at nil nil. Seriously? What are you watching? You’re even blaming Lascelles for the first goal. This is garbage. Embarrassing gutless garbage. Same old sh1t. And Rafa hasn’t got a clue how to fix it.”

Worth reposting your hilarious rubbish for all to see again.

    Rafa?

Whoa! A new story mid game with no comments? Guess I may not be the only one wallowing in my own distress watching this p##s poor pedestrian, non-plussed performance. You can’t really blame the coaching staff or players though… It’s not what we aren’t doing, it’s that we haven’t got the players to grab the game by the scruff and pull us into it. We are currently a weak premier league side slightly punching above our weight with failings only one man can compensate for… But he won’t!!!

    Total barsteward…

    NO.

    From BBC
“You can see from the average positions players have taken up that Newcastle (right) have not just sat back to be picked off. They’ve got up the pitch and had a go.”

Wtf? Have we tested their keeper at all? Have we given the ball away cheaply all afternoon? Have we got punished by second gear Chelsea? Have we got the courage to play? We are pathetic.

Tsunki, I’ve not only called this game from the start. But also what will happen in the transfer market. And on the “takeover”.

Cyprus mitro is now back but Rafa said anyone that is potentially moving out wont play as their mind won’t be in the game.

I expect if we don’t bring a st in he will stay and play games.

Mike’s gonna just start asking really nicely and offering a coupon for “buy two get one free” at Sports Direct at this rate. It isn’t that we can’t compete with the current market and ridiculous prices… we aren’t even willing to compete with a market from 10 years ago!

What’s the point of this club? It certainly isn’t for entertaining football…

It’s funny the commentator just said ”Barkley only cost 15M, not very much these days”. Number of 15M players in NUFCs squad = 0 !!!

We bring Joselu on , Chelsea bring Fabregas on !!!

    McLaren 80M

    Rafa: Virtually nowt!

Ashley is just not allowing us to compete. end of.

Mitro would have buried that ball in from Haidara where Gayle was stuck in the mud. Would have been 1-1 at the point. Shame. Thought Haidara swung in a couple of good balls

This would’ve been the perfect game for Mitro

Nothing really to lose in this one. He would have either showed how he can play, or put him in the shop window for a club to come in and give us some kind of budget to play with.

Yep, Darlow man of the match.

Odd, we park the bus against Citeh and lost 3-1. We were a little more positive, but lost 3-0!

No chance of any improvement until Mr Ashley finally decides to leave.

A walk in the park, beIN called it. True really. Buy players, Rafa.

MOM? Incredibly, some players did ok. It’s the cutting edge we don’t have up front.

Ritchie was good, shelvey alright, saviet ok, etc.

But I’ll give it to Darlow. Like the commentators mentioned we’re ok at GK, three decent keepers.

We really need to strengthen in the positions we know about.

Please advise us who you would buy for a net spend of 19M and remember you can’t include loans because we can’t afford the wages. Please tell me I’d love to know.

Also please tell me what tactics you would use for essentially a championship team against a team where one player costs more than our entire squad. I would be really interested to hear your thoughts.

Every shot on goal we had was tame and predictable. Shelveys shot was the only thing that looked dangers but even then I think it was going for the post.
