Ashley Goes Further Down Rafa’s List Of Strikers – Finds One For £10M

The Mail are reporting today that Newcastle have made an inquiry for Viktoria Plzen’s £10M-rated striker Michael Krmencik.

It seems Newcastle have been put off by the asking price of £20M Feyenoord striker Jorgensen and will go after another target who is much cheaper.

But since there are just over two days left in this transfer window Newcastle must move quickly – we must get a striker in before Wednesday night.

The 24-year-old 6ft 2ins striker is a Czech International, and he’s scored 16 goals in 20 appearances this season for his club Viktoria Plzen.

Michael Krmencik  – 24 year-old Czech International

He will cost Newcastle £10M, and that’s half the price we would have to pay for Jorgensen so once again Mike Ashley has gone for the cheaper alternative.

He’s been out on loan a lot since joining Viktoria Plzen back in 2011, and it’s difficult to know how good a player he is.

But he’s twice as expensive as Joselu and half the fee of Jorgensen.

Rafa has said the minimum price for a good striker in the Premier League is £20M so unless he’s a real bargain he’s not one of them.

It seems Mike Ashley is again being thrifty and we don’t know where this player is on Rafa Benitez’ list of strikers – but he seems to be down the list and not his first choice.

That’s obvious.

If he comes into Newcastle before Wednesday night, we’ll have to hope he’s very good and can score some goals for us.

Comments welcome.

Please for the love of God Ashley please just sell in the summer I can’t take much more of your dybilocal running of the club, i thought thing where going to be different with Benitez getting things in writing, but no it is just the same old drivel, why did this man decide to buy a football club when he is ridiculously tight? Well I know the answer he just wanted to line his own pockets not for the club to progress in any shape.

It’s very hard to find something positive to hang on to right now. The greedy oaf and pathalogical liar doesn’t want us but doesn’t seem to want anyone else to have his ”toy”either. He won’t sell and won’t invest, so the perennial gamble of a continued free advertising billboard v relegation carries on unabated.

I think a lot of decent ins and even a few deadwood outs could have been successfully concluded this window but Charmless is obviously under orders from Ash or Barnes, probably both, to be as obstructive as possible, while Bishop spins away that it’s all Rafa’s fault. Rinse and repeat every window.

I think the word to describe us under Ashley is TOXIC. However, Ashley can always rely on 52000 turning up no matter what, so what does he care. For the first time after the Chelsea game Rafa looked a broken man. He looked drawn and tired as if he’d reached the end with us now. That will no doubt delight Catchy and Munster and we can then revert to Pardew and McLaren ”yes men” Z lister type managers and to hell with ambition.

It was always going to happen. He was never going to pay £20 million and I very much doubt he will pay £10 million for this fella.. whoever the hell he is!

    Last 4 seasons:
    2012 Apps 12 Goals 1
    2013 Apps 32 Goals 2
    2014 Apps 11 Goals 2
    2015 Apps 25 Goals 7

And I can’t even find any stats after that.

    Really???

HERE WE GO, GREEDY COCK-ney Fatman strikes again. Cut price second rate shit ! Just like your shops. Full of sh#t ! Does anyone know who this lad is ??
Fatman is stripping the silverware before the final sale . So it’s bye Mitro, Gayle, Shelvey, Aarons and anyone else that will generate a few quid, And replace them with Mr Blobby and the munchkins from the wizard of Oz
It’s like going back to the Gordon Lee and Westwood era. Big sell off before the bailout !
