It seems that Newcastle are again in an almighty mess after Rafa Benitez has relied on Mike Ashley to bring in players to the club this month.
But we have today missed out on both Sturridge on loan and Jorgensen because Mike Ashley will not pay the going rate for him.
So it seems he would rather have Newcastle relegated again rather than pay what he believes are over the odds for any player.
The incompetence and ineptitude shown at the top of the club is embarrassing – they don’t know what they are doing.
The Premier League should investigate how Mike Ashley has ruined Newcastle over the last 10 years – it’s almost criminal what he’s done.
If we don’t bring in a striker before Wednesday night then it’s Ashley’s responsibility (also known as fault) – he’s to blame – make no mistake about that.
There are still two days left so we can still get somebody in – but who?
Lee Charnley and Mike Ashley – they don’t know what they are doing
But that’s enough from me here are what our very long-suffering fans think of Ashley – and Charnley too.
@NUFC LIARS. Worst ran club in the country. Shambles of a set up. You don’t deserve @rafabenitezweb or #nufc fan base. LIARS LIARS LIARS

Excellent point by John.
I find it staggering that a businessman as successful as MA can possibly put his biggest asset in danger of being relegated by not investing to keep us from relegation. Surely anyone knows an input of around £60m to stop us losing untold millions in relegation is worth it. #nufc

What do #nufc expect when they leave everything until the last minute! Rafa wanted business done by 20th and he didn’t even know his budget by then! Why not tie up Sturridge 4 weeks ago? Now, once again they’re in a panic and looking at plan D with 51 hours left! Joke #AshleyOut

Comment #87The biggest mistake was Rafa getting Newcastle back in the PL!
With a owner like Ashley he used Rafa to gain his finance and he knew the tv money was going to be large, he knew there was potential bidders and he knew he didn’t need to spend money because either way he gets his money.
Amanda let it known through media that her company wanted Newcastle and still do….relegation or not…. so why would Ashley invest?

Comment #95Does anybody think boycotting a few SD shops in the north east will have any impact on a 3 billion empire.??? The mackems will flood in in any event.
Boycotts work but they have to be sustained. Not just a game. Stay away until he goes.
The alternative? keep going and he stays forever.
Fans urging a boycott do not go? Well I went for 50 years and took a personal decision never to go again until he is gone. I do not think I am embarrassing myself. It is actually the ultimate sacrifice.

Comment #106Transfer Sage @45…Absolutely correct about the way we do transfers. We pay cash but seem to accept instalments? Also, regarding Ashley’s aversion to debt. How does he fund stock at SD? Surely SD have a line of credit so they can replenish stock when needed. If they can buy on tick, why won’t he allow us to? No one in the media has ever made these things public, we’re all just deluded for wanting our club to compete on an even playing field…

Comment #108Love the idea of taking JD / DW Sports banners to the ground, that would get right under Fatty’s skin. I’m not a season ticket holder but support the rights of whoever wishes to go and support the team to do just that and don’t think a boycott would do anything. I prefer affirmative action – organised protests, disrupting Ashley’s business, keying the barsteward’s helicopter….

Comment #111Iheanacho would be a huge lift for us but failing this, the sooner rafa plays mitro the better. He made a difference v West brom when we were in trouble but rafa has always refused to play him. His head may be confused now, but get him on the pitch and all that could change. Comment #114So, that said, let’s, get down to why we still go and will keep going.
For years we have had players, who couldn’t give a toss about the club –
managers too. They were there to pick up their wages and nothing more. Michael Owen being a prime example if the truth be known.
Right now, this very season, we have the most committed manager – and by far the best – we’ve had in years. The guy’s a genius. Without him we would be bottom and cut adrift because we have a Championship squad and failed to support him financially in three transfer windows. All Ashley’s fault, nobody else’s. Fact.
Player wise, these young lads – and most of them are very young – will run through brick walls for two reasons – Rafa and a true pride in wearing those famous black and white striped shirts.
Yes, they lack PL quality obviously. We know that because they were assembled for one overall reason – Championship experience and to get us promoted. They did it. Credit to them for doing exactly what we asked of them.
What wasn’t expected if them, was to remain en masse and play against 40 – £100m quality players. That was not the plan. Another fact. The plan was to move most on and replace them with PL players.
Hasn’t happened has it? Again, Ashley to blame, not the players.
Yet week in week out, these young kids play out of their skin against far superior players who they can never hope to match. Their commitment and effort embarrasses those players they replaced – players far better in quality, no argument there, but commitment? These lads can give no more.
‘We want a team that tries?’ In my 60 years I can think of fewer teams that have given this kind of effort and commitment, in a monumental attempt to make up for the lack of ability they probably accept themselves. These players on a whole are giving everything possible. The sad truth is, for all that effort, they’re simply not good enough.
And some of you want to reward that effort, commitment and pride in playing for our great club by deserting them when they need us the most.
Shame on you. We don’t turn up week in week out for Ashley, ffs, we hate him more than you lot, we turn up because we recognise the pride these kids show in wearing those shirts. We turn up because we recognise Rafa’s love for the fans and the potential when we finally lose the parasite. We turn up because nothing – most CERTAINLY not one fat useless knacker – will ever come between us and our undying love for NUFC.
If you don’t get that, tough shyte. Go follow some other club, we, don’t need or even want that sort of fan. We’re the best fans in the world for a reason. It’s, not just about the football. It’s about a city and an entire region dismissed by the a southern based government. It’s about a pride in the North east and a love for a club and each other. It goes beyond football at times, but football genuinely does mean more the Geordie’s than other cities and the fact that 95% of Geordie’s support their local team confirms that.
Nobody is happy with Ashley. Nobody. But loyalty goes beyond allowing one knacker to get between you and your team. Or it should.
We, ain’t sheep. We ain’t happy clappers. We ain’t Ashley fans – we hate Ashley. What we are is loyal to the bone..
No doubt this, will be responded to with the usual bile. Water off a ducks back. This manager and these players, simply for their total commitment and effort against superior players deserve our full support more than ever.
You desert if you must. Do one. We won’t. Newcastle till I die are not just words for some.
Slag me off. Call me names. Do your worse. Ask me if I care? Take your boycott – hilarious coming from those who’ve never stepped foot inside SJP – and shove it where the sun won’t shine.

Comment #116I’ll be honest, I wasn’t convinced by Jorgensen or Sturridge – Jorgensen as he’s unproven, Sturridge as he’s unlikely to play more than 50% of the time. What upset me this afternoon was Rafa obviously identified both as viable targets but the club failed to get them over the line. One because they refused to go the extra mile financially and the other because WBA are now apparently a more attractive club than NUFC, for whatever reason. I’d say it was unbelievable but sadly I’d be wrong

Comment #117I’ve said it before….Ashley isn’t bothered about relegation… you’re kidding yourself if you think he should be.
He’ll see out the season….if we stay up then its a bonus….if we’re relegated he’ll pocket the 100 million plus from finishing bottom then sell the club in the summer for 180 million or so.
January costs him nowt…he gets 280 million plus… then its someone elses problem to get back in the premier league.
Honesty after 10 years plus of having the pi22 taken out of you i can’t believe there are still fans who think fat ash will come good…. you’ve got to be simple
