Strikers We Can Still Sign To End Newcastle’s Gross Incompetence This Month

With the time it takes for Newcastle to do any transfer deal (usually weeks or even months) it’s doubtful we will be able to get a good striker in before tomorrow night when the transfer window slams shut at 11:00 pm.

One player Newcastle will hopefully try to sign before tomorrow night on loan is Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

The 21-year-old has the talent to score goals for Newcastle if we can get him in on loan, with time rapidly running out in this transfer window.

And it will be gross incompetence by the Newcastle hierarchy if we don’t sign a striker by tomorrow night.

We’ll be the laughing stock of the Premier League.

Islam Slimani – still available

And if Mike Ashley is still in charge this summer there’s no way Rafa Benitez will sign a new deal and stay at the mismanaged Newcastle club.

Leicester City will probably let one player leave on loan or permanently this month, and the other striker is Algerian Islam Slimani.

Newcastle could sign the £20M rated striker and could think he is a better bet for £20M than Danish striker Nicolai Jorgensen.

That could be a good use of money, but we doubt that Ashley wants to spend that amount of money this month even it means he still has a Premier League club.

He would rather have the financial books at Newcastle look good than pay money out to ensure we remain a Premier League club worth north of £300M.

We don’t understand Ashley’s thinking on this other than he thinks football is a regular business – which it isn’t.

If the owner doesn’t get a good striker in before tomorrow night, the chances he owns a Premier League club by May are slim.

It will then be down to Rafa Benitez and whether the manager can save us with his management skills, experience, and leadership.

That’s something that’s been sorely missing at the top of the club for over ten years now.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Comments welcome.

I wouldn’t think he’d play Atsu Kennedy and Murphy together. 2 of the 3 and the same set up as before.

    When’s Merino back?

Stan, yeah yeah yeah, heard it all before. “it’s worse now because we’re further behind the top six”. Buffoon. During the McKeag era we were days away from the Division Three – which you would know IF you truly were there.
There were nine thousand of us, loyal to the death. You’re saying you stuck with us then but boycott now? Ha ha ha ha! Go bother someone else who’ll listen to your BS. That ain’t me by the way.
Any excuse to desert your team when they need you most. Do one eh?

    just my opinion

it looks to me that Ashley has now accepted the odds have shifted to us going down,
as his current statergie is cost cutting i still expect 2/3 to leave and we my be lucky and get another loan in but that will be it.
he’s battening down the hatches for the championship.

I see Bobby is back to his 500 word rants.
Always comes out with the same rhetoric whenever boycotts are mentioned. I’ve been a supporter since nineteen canteen and I was there when we only had ten thousand in and will keep going again and I’m better than you because of that bla bla bla.

What a messed up and toxic club this has become under Ashley.

I think there is merit in a boycott, for possibly 1 or 2 matches. This is a god awful situation that one man has created. The club isn’t united and it’s not going anywhere till as KK put it, Ash walks away. The trouble is Ash knows the fans will always turn up and keep perpetuating what we’ve been going through ever since Ashley arrived. A couple of games with an empty stadium might finally concentrate his mind somewhat, because nothing else has.

Ashley has made it personal and he won’t sell or invest, but will gamble his continued free advertising against a 3rd probable relegation

Is there any limit to how many deals Charnley can screw up? Sturridge picks WBA and Pardew over us. Is that not the final straw when judging anyone’s incompetence?

Again we now have the promising and exciting El Mhanni leaving because the Beardo complaints were not upheld by the club’s joke hierarchy and old boys network. Everything in this club and the shocking treatment of a respected and decorated manager is an absolute disgrace and leaves me sick to the stomach.

As the clock ticks on prices go up!

Ashley through his henchman Barnes’s really screwed up – again.

Summer before last, Ashley declared he’d leave signings etc to Rafa and Charnley and it worked to a degree.. However, a couple of buys didn’t fit Ashley’s profile and he decides to involve himself again with Barnes doing his dirty work for him – Rafa’s pans for last winter’s window were thwarted and promotion wasn’t the plain sailing we’d hoped for.

And not content with that, he steps in again and stimeys Rafa’s summer spending plans. He’s now playing with relegation despite his worthless promises to back Rafa.

He’s risking relegation having decided that PCP didn’t meet his supposed agenda to sell only to a buyer wh could take the club forward.- he said!:

Water under the bridge now but it’s a real shame that PCP didn’t offer the £359m Ashley wanted and now, we’re stuck with the greedy bustard.

Come on Amanda, please find a way ti give the tw@t what he wants so Rafa can at least work to help rebuild our club. The Geordie nation needs you – help save us from Ashley before it’s too late.

As bobbybee points out, there have definitely been more dismal worrying times – I still remember gavin peacocks last minute injury time goal that saved us from what would’ve been div 3 and we’ve all had years of misery throughout most of the late 70s early 80s getting nowhere fast in the old second division.
However we all still turn up because it’s our club and we all have that flicker of optimism that we can be better – even now there’s still a glimmer of hope that we’ll get a striker in from somewhere.
Truth is , I accepted years ago that I’m never gonna experience constant champions league football and top premier league performances because it’s newcastle and it always smacks you in the face when you think everything’s going to be great – that’s what I and many others have always experienced.
That’s why the small victories like the keegan as player then keegan as manager times were so sweet. But like everything at this club, it soon turns sour – Arthur cox replaced by jack charlton; keegan ( the centre forward) replaced by tony Cunningham then george Reilly; The lists are endless. Part of supporting Newcastle is the slightly perverse feeling that you know you’re gonna get shat on but you still turn up hoping for better … and every once in a decade it does come along .. but it never lasts. Live with it – I’ve had to.

A boycott could work, but you will never get the consensus for it so don’t bother.
Liverpool supporters got rid of Hicks and Gillette, but they were weakened financially and could not hold onto the club.

Rangers supporters made it clear they would not tolerate Ashley.
I would have been inclined not to upset them too much as well.

A one game boycott. Now that would be an idea.
Pick a game that has been selected for Sky as their main Sunday game.
    Empty stadium.

    Remember the 70s and 80s.
    One out all out.
    United we stand.
Pickets. Never cross a picket line.
Collective bargaining. Solidarity sisters and brothers.

Fatso and Bishop on the other hand might think this is great – No such thing as bad publicity !

Given the shambles of this club, Kuqi coming in is more likely.

Kennyg, thanks pal, glad someone remembers the real world bad old days. They were bad compared to this. This is us still in the PL and all those who jumped on the bandwagon when KK and SJH came are now whining like kids.
This is the real Newcastle – a disaster of a club.
Maybe those whining about due diligence re Ashley should’ve done the same themselves before leaping aboard the Entertainers Train.
Never known so many babies in my life. Call me what you want you losers, don’t bother me I assure you. 🙂
So many thought we would be the team of the future and climbed aboard. Don’t care if the truth hurts, get over yourselves.
Any fan wanting to desert because they don’t like the owner is pathetic. The truth is supporting a shyte team isn’t what they bargained for.
Serves you right. Do one. You won’t be missed. The proper fans will keep turning up despite your name calling because real fans stick by their team through thick and thin.
Charlie and Posada and Stan Seymour (lol) . It’s not about me, you mugs, it’s about the thousands who will keep turning up, regardless of whiners. I don’t mention ME, I say WE generally, unless the question is at me. Because WE will keep turning up because being in the top six has nothing to do with supporting your team. You get good or bad owners – we’ve got a bad one and not for the first time. Maybe the first time since so many of you jumped aboard but not in our history. Our history is littered with bad owners. Only one decent one in fact.
Ashley’s an excuse. At least be man enough to admit it some of you. We had one truly great period in our recent history under SJH. Now we’ve got the worse and look at the rats deserting the ship.
But if you want to go the nitty gritty then yes, I am a better fan compared to any single one now considering bailing out. But so are the fifty thousand, who keep turning up. Newcastle till we die means something to some of us. The loyalist supporters the World has ever known has been hard earned. But it’s true.
Yet you knock it. Want out. Go on then, don’t bleat about it, f*** off, see if we miss you. Oh no, how can we, most of the whiners are never there anyway! Just keyboard gobshytes giving it large.
We don’t go to support Ashley, You mugs. We support the team who currently are flogging their guts out for YOUR team. But you’d sooner ignore that and whine about Ashley to justify your pathetic agenda.
Gtf with the lot of you. About time someone said this. Sick of this pc crap on here. ‘We’re all the same, blah blah blah.’ No, we ain’t. Some of us mean it. If Ashley comes between you and Newcastle you are PATHETIC. Grow up. You can’t always have your own way. We all want him out ffs, but deserting your team because, he won’t sell for what you want him to? Yeah, proper fans.
I’m done here. Waste of time. Bleating babies whining 24/7.These players and this manager deserve supporting. They’re giving it 100% effort. You should try it sometime.

It’s not your team, it’s Ashley’s toy. He can’t win the league with it, so the game is to squeak by from year to year. Just getting by is his “win”. If half the players in the world were not already signed by the top six, then he might behave differently, but the market is rigged, and he would be a fool to bankrupt himself trying to buy second rate talent to not make it into the top six.

Can see where Bobby we is coming from but where was the one decent owner of our club been ? The only one I can think he means is SJH and lets not forget SJH et al took more out of the club than they ever put in so in my humble opinion we have never had any decent owners in the club’s recent history, every one of them from the Seymour’s,McKeages, Westwoods right up to Mike Ashley have all taken advantage of the supporters of this magnificent club because they do turn up week in week out. It’s sad that we can never get owners who are just as passionate about the club.Amanda Staveley would’ve been just another one of these owners if PCP ever takes over they have already said they are in it for profit.
