Rafa Refuses To Criticize Ashley – We Did Good Business – It’s Positive

Rafa was upbeat and positive at his press conference earlier today for the crucial Sunday game at Crystal Palace.

But Rafa also knows that Newcastle must start winning games if we are to escape the drop for the third time in nine years.

Being relegated again would be unbearable.

Rafa Benitez – refuses to criticize the club – let’s get on with it

Rafa was asked in his press conference about the banner unfurled on Wednesday night quoting famous words from Kevin Keegan to our long-suffering fans.

This is how Rafa answered that:

“Everybody is expecting me to criticise the club, but I am trying to do my best for the team and the club.”

“All I can do is concentrate on what happens on the pitch. What am I thinking is: ‘The best for Newcastle – for the team to win'”

“We know deadline day is always busy. It is wrong that we are playing games on that day.”

“We did some good business, brought players in and got some out. It is positive – if the new players perform on the pitch”

Rafa wants everybody associated with the club to pull in the same direction, so we remain a Premier League club come May.

Our fans are critical to that happening.

The two massive advantages we have at Newcastle United are the fans and Rafa.

And who knows, before too long we could have ambitious owners running the club.

To be fair what else can Rafa say? Rafa, like all of us, is probably still clinging to thoughts of a takeover. Why rock the boat having a go at the fat man at this stage? What’s that going to achieve? Rafa’s already said very publically he’s been let down, but for the next 13 games we do all have to stick together.

For some extremists like Catchy, not good eough even if Rafa had won 3 European trophies. Oh wait. . . . . .
When I saw the headlines ”Palace hit by injuries” I was feeling quite optimistic. Sadly the injury list didn’t include Zaha, Townsend, Cabaye and Benteke!!!!

He’s turned into a proper yes man,the squad is 5hit and if it survives this season in the Prem it will be a miracle.
31 Days to acquire reinforcements and we loan out a couple and loan a couple back.
Even if we go down Ashley is going nowhere he has a championship ready squad ready made.

Rafa is very honourable. He knows what his job is . He now knows what his squad is for the final 14 games. He is employed by the club to do his job.He can only influence the Team and it’s performance and do his best.
I believe we will stay up .The Squad also knows what they have to do to stay in the EPL as their responsibility to the Club .They are getting well paid for it .
If they continue to work and graft as every comment seems to indicate they do , then with the latest additions ,the Toon will succeed and whatever happens in the future sale or not we the Fans will continue to support and see the club grow to something bigger and better.
