One Piece Of Good News Today On The Injury Front

There’s some excellent news about Islam Slimani coming from Sky Sports’ correspondent Keith Downie today.

We signed a striker on deadline day but of course, he was injured, but it seems Islam Slimani’s thigh injury was indeed only minor and he is now in full training with the lads.

Rafa has this week to prepare his team with new arrivals Kenedy, Slimani, and Dubravka all training with the squad and available to play in the game on Sunday afternoon.

Islam Slimani – in full training today

Here’s what Keith Downie has tweeted today:

It will be very interesting to see what Rafa’s team is on Sunday and whether center-back Ciaran Clark is fit enough to play.

Ciaran picked up a knee injury at Palace on Sunday and if he’s not fit it’s a big opportunity for Frenchman Florian Lejeune to come back into the side and show what he can do.

Slimani will either start the game – which is preferred – or he will come on in the second half against the Red Devils.

But we must start taking some points from the top six teams still to come to St. James’ Park this season.

They include the Red Devils on Sunday, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

We were beaten by Tottenham in the first game of the season 2-0 (with 10 men in the second half), drew 1-1 with Liverpool, and then lost 1-0 to Manchester City in the previous home games against top-six opposition.

We’ll see how many points we can pick up against Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, which is the final game of the season.

A win is the shock result we need on Sunday.

Lol no chance we will get Zaha even if Palace go down he is one of the best players out of the top 4 sides just like Mahrez is. He will end up at one of the big boys.

I can’t see us doing anything against Man U as they have so much quality now and fancy us much more against the other top 6 sides we have to play.

Theres been enough bottom 8 teams beating top 6 teams this season, just need to be brave and try to counter attack properly.

Please no more of the Tactics from the City matches, at least not to that extreme.
