It’s starting to be the time when we need a win whatever game we are playing.
And we are at home to Manchester United today and Jose Mourinho has never won a league game at St. James’ Park.
We are hoping for all 3 points and just one point will probably not alter our position in the league table – which is currently 4th bottom after yesterday’s games.
A defeat will sink the spirits of Newcastle fans and we will all have a very long two weeks before our next game at Bournemouth.
Newcastle fans
On the other hand, a win would rejuvenate the long-suffering Newcastle fans.
We need the win.
And it seems the club has restricted the flag display today – wonder why?

Comment #9Rafa calls for the fans to get behind the lads and Kim Jong Ashley bans the Flags? He’s undermined Rafa yet again and we can only hope the media pick up on it though doubtless Ashley’s chums at Sky’ll put on a spin on it to justify his action.
Is there no limit to Ashley’s stupidity?

Comment #10The trouble is that they have quality and divers all over the pitch, difficult to stop players diving when they are allowed to get away with it without fear of repercussions, after all Valencia, Young, lindegard etc could give lessons (and probably do) , Sanchez Lukaku and Pogba are quality, we’ll have to be on top form to stop them for 90 + mins and hope our forward players can do the business at the other end……very difficult…….I’m going for a 4-0 win for us

Comment #12Gallowgate flags slyly sneaked their biggest flag ever
into the ground last match then unfurled it just before KO
It read: âDonât ever give up on your club. Keep supporting it, itâs your club and trust me, one day you will get your club back and it will be everything you wanted it to be. Newcastle United is bigger than anyone. It hurts I know, but just keep going. He is only one man we are a city, a whole population. Trust me.â

Comment #13There is less than a 10 percent chance of getting a win today without a striker. Biggest disappointment not having Slimani fit. Has gone from maybe making the bench at Palace to not making it to today. Something tells me we canât rely on him to be fit and firing for rest of the season.
As much as I hate it, I am starting to get that 2015/16 feeling in that it is inevitable that we are down. Ruing the defensive nature of our play.
Letâs hope we pull off a miracle today.

actually in a Chronicle poll the vast majority of
fans think unity and getting behind the manager
is the way forward until seasons end.
Wor flags had a deal with the club and broke it.

Comment #17Right, need an answer pretty sharp. Anybody wanting to go to the game today? No joking, cost you NOTHING. Just the ability to push a wheelchair a couple of hundred yards.
I can get someone if required, just thought I’d make this offer for those unable to attend regularly, but I need to know ASAP as I need to make arrangements otherwise.

Comment #18Prediction;
0-0 first half, quite tight and we defend quite well.
0-2 second half, we run out of steam as they notch it up a gear with Sanchez coming into his own.
Donât expect anything different to what weâve seen for 90 percent of the season.

Comment #21Ashley does not trust or like Raffa.
He wants him out.
Would have sacked him by now, but won’t pay the compo.
Rafa would have walked by now, but won’t pay the compo.
Also, he is holding out for a possible take over. Just a slim hope.
In the mean time he is in well paid employment.
Explains the transfer window. Ins depedent on outs and balacing the books.
No money spent.

Comment #23He did the same thing with the singing section – anti Ashley chants started pouring in, and he disbanded it, putting the family sections right next to the (often aggressive) away fans.

Anyone wanting to go today better speak up rapidly. People often day ‘too expensive’ etc and I get that – it ain’t cheap – so I thought before I get anyone else I would throw the offer out. Free entrance. Cost you nowt. Bit of exercise thrown in! đ Need to know very soon though.
