Newcastle must have a lot more fans now after our terrific win over Manchester United on Sunday after we won 1-0 and outfought the much more expensive Red Devils players.
And Newcastle have three players in the Star team of the week – Martin Dubravka, who was making his debut in goal made the team with a brilliant performance.
Jonjo Shelvey was simply awesome in the center of the park for us and got through so much work in those 90 minutes.
And then, who else but our goalscorer Matt Richie, who must have been a Geordie in a previous lifetime.
When Matt scored his first goal of the season he went crazy – just like the Newcastle supporters both at the game and watching around the world.
Here’s the full team and of course no Manchester United players included.

Dithering or Chelsea preferring a link up with Paul Clement who knows and who cares he isn’t here. Personally not bothered as I don’t believe he would have got us 12 by now . Just an opinion like yours and therefore no more ore less valid. Can’t say he had caught my eye at all for Swansea.

Comment #2It must be some sort of a record for a debutant in the premiership to end up in the team of the week.

Comment #3He done enough to catch the England managers eye, and who cares? I do, we’d have roughly about twelve more points with a decent goal scorer in the team.

Comment #4Looks like Sturridge is out for a couple of weeks. That’s the Baggies in further trouble as he’s crucial to bagging them goals. We need Slimani up and running to keep us up. Just goes to show why so many clubs are willing to spend big on the chance a player can bag them the goals to keep them up.

Comment #5Looking at the table is unbelievable, I can’t remember so many teams being so close on points to relegation.
I’d say WBA are all but down, I think stoke will go with them, last place I think could be 11th or even 10th down. I’ve not see how long Zaha is out for but if it’s a while, looking at palace’s games I’ll go for palace. Hope I’m right!!
