Have Newcastle Already Agreed A Deal For This Player?

There’s news in Turkey that we have already bid twice for 27-year-old Cape Verde international Garry Rodrigues, who plays for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.

We reportedly offered £6M last summer and then £7M in January and there are reports that Newcastle will go back in with an offer of  £10M this summer.

The player himself is very keen to come to Newcastle and he has said the deal will be done for less than €15M (£13.2M).

Rafa will want players coming in early this summer after thee successive poor transfer windows.

The gaffer has also said and he wants the transfer system changed at Newcastle to be more aggressive and our transfers to be done more quickly.

Thank goodness for that!.

With all that in mind, we wonder if an agreement has already been made with Galatasaray to buy the player for an already agreed to fee this summer?

Garry Rodrigues – keen to join Newcastle

That could be the case and the Turkish club will show a big profit on the player who arrived at Galatasaray 13 months ago from Greek club PAOK for just £3.3M

Rodrigues has played for five clubs in his career so far, and he can add some creativity on the wings which is one thing Rafa is looking to improve the Newcastle side.

Newcastle could get Rodrigues for between £10M and  £13.2M and we should do that deal early this summer.

We hope the deal has already been agreed.

What do you think?

Tsunki “Ancient doesn’t like it pointing out but his avatar is on there precisely to have the effect it has had. If he has any thought about respecting eds rules he’d see how provocative it was and switch it”

Tsunki, since when you have been such a sensitive little lamb. It is my avatar, it is my business. I didn’t take you for the authoritarian/dictatorial/suppressive type. Dictating the blog rules and which avatars are acceptable here makes you appear like a busy-body pipsqueak with nothing better to do. Man up for goodness sake. You are coming across extremely juvenile. Read the above quote that you have written back to yourself in a nerdy 13 years old voice and see if you finally start to get it.

I have always found you rather witty, but you do have a tendency to go overboard at times. Like the last time you left the blog for months because somebody on the blog insulted you, and you got a pout on. Time to grow up, fella.

Bus left the station as I was making a comment for previous thread, I’ll try to keep my ancient body up with it!!

I beg to differ, I didn’t know Diame was an excellent player, in fact I thought he was a rubbish and openly said so. But my opinion has taken a big U turn cos of his recent games. I’m still wondering if his twin brother has joined us as his turnaround has been startling to say the least and he is like a completely new player.

Long may it continue and well done Big MO

by Manxpie “tsunki if people cant understand that someone might have a different political stance then them then thats their problem tbh.” Is that so difficult to understand?”

You would think that would be obvious. Well said, all the same. I defer anybody with further complaints back to the above sentence. This subject is becoming worn out.

The weekend is nigh. Cheer up.

    I like that
“imagine it in a such and such voice”
I imagined your post in that Jezza midlands whine
in PQ’s popping at other MP’s with personal
    attacks.
    and yup it works.

Also well done to Rafa and his staff
for recognising that there was a player
in there waiting to come out.

Ancient here’s the thing, I don’t dictate blog rules, Ed does. You keep doing the insults, it reflects well on you.

Meanwhile as I said before, a reasonable approach would be to defer to Eds house rules, change your avatar for the sake of lessening controversy and quit bleating on about your right to be politically obnoxious. But as I said, reasonable.

According to ‘Whoscored,’ Garry Rodrigues predominantly plays down the left flank. The club seems to be fairly well stocked in that department already.

Yep Rafa is a modern football version of Nicholas Flamel, with his team of acolytes.

“Ancient here’s the thing, I don’t dictate blog rules, Ed does.” Yes, but you sure do a fine impression of playing the enforcer of those rules, even if the rules do not stipulate anything about avatars.

Tsunki, just grow up and move along. Everybody seemed happy to move on from the subject last night, and I have agreed not to respond to stirrers. Never worry, you can get back to making your arcane/esoteric jokes and getting all the perceived attention—I certainly don’t want, nor crave it. The floor is all yours.

Any transfer talk or such like this post suggest that the takeover is dead in the water. Why would any new owner want anything to do with new signing of the old owner? If a takeover was in any way going to be done IMHO now signings would never be part of the deal.

Pointless considering any new signings given that the last window only closed just over 3 weeks ago.

We don’t even know who will be our owner will be in the summer, and whether we will still be a PL club.
