This Is Our Predicted Newcastle Side For Bournemouth

We’ll have to wait until Rafa’s press conference tomorrow afternoon on whether new loan signing Islam Slimani can play in the match at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

Islam has had over three weeks to get bedded in (so to speak) at Newcastle, and to also recover from the slight thigh injury he had when we signed him on loan on the final day of the January transfer window.

Rafa didn’t wait too long to introduce new loan signing Martin Dubravka to the first team, and that paid off big time against Manchester United in our last game.

As long as Islam is fit, we expect him to lead the line at the Cherries in his debut for Newcastle.

The rest of the team will remain unchanged, and Slimani will replace either Ayoze Perez or Dwight Gayle – and we think it will be Dwight.

So here’s the team we expect Rafa to start on Saturday afternoon:

Yedlin Lascelles (c) Lejeune Dummett
Shelvey Diame
Ritchie Perez Kenedy

That looks a strong side with all three loan signings starting for the first time.

Hopefully, it will be good enough to get all 3 points against a well coached and well organized Bournemouth side.
