Ashley’s Incompetence Comes Back To Haunt Newcastle – Fans Furious

It’s now embarrassing that Newcastle brought in an injured Islam Slimani on the last few hours of the transfer window on January 31st.

Newcastle were desperate to bring in a striker so took a chance on the injured Islam Slimani.

But it’s now coming back to haunt us because he will be out at least another two weeks with that thigh injury and could possibly end up being available for only 6 games in total.

Make no mistake who is responsible for this mess.

It’s owner Mike Ashley again for gambling with Newcastle’s future once again and waiting so long in January before bringing in players – on loan.

As Rafa has already said – this is the kind of situation (mess) you can get into if you leave things until the last minute.

We are now worse off then we were before January because at least we had a fit Mitro in the squad, but he’s gone to Fulham for the rest of the season.

Mike Ashley – still incompetent after all these years

This is more proof, if we needed it, that Ashley still doesn’t know what he’s doing – after almost 11 years at Newcastle.

Where is Amanda Staveley when we need her?

And something more positive to end with.

I’m not so sure about Slimani being injured.

How could Rafa drop any player after that
    performance against ManU ?

I don’t think Rafa had any intention of
taking Slimani to the South coast.

His intention is probably to give him his debut
    vs Southampton at home.

Ed seems to buy into the OTT hysteria that
    infests twatter.

IMHO I think $ky and the F.A have spoilt football in this country by making money the holy grail over the enjoyment of the game. E.G The payment scheme for a club which wins the Premiership is all top end loaded, 90% of the time its the same 2>3 clubs in the top 3 so they continue to receive more and more money leaving the new promoted clubs or those just scraping by in the league on the scraps. In this order of things which has shown the failure of the system this year has resulted as said in the article, half the league could potentially be relegated. The current system has IMHO reached a point where it has caught up with its self and has failed the fans and football. It would have made much more sense to have reduced the huge payments to the top clubs, who receive mega bucks in Europe also, and distribute the payments to the clubs lower in the league and also in the Championship. This in MHO would improve the quality of football we have to watch each week and make it a bit more exciting. Thats just my view and I know there are many more factors to consider and it would not have made a happerth of difference in our case, but I am sure most would agree we are a unique case and as long as M.A is in charge of our club we are doomed to a rerun of the last 11 years of misery.
