How Newcastle Are Now Worse Off For Strikers Than Before January

With Islam Slimani out at least another two weeks with his thigh injury then Rafa is almost certain to play an unchanged side this afternoon at Dean Court.

Last time out every single player gave everything they had to beat Manchester United.

It was a hectic last 15 minutes when Newcastle held out in superb fashion to get a famous win.

But it’s a big blow to have Slimani still injured after he’s been at the club for over three weeks now, and it could end up that he plays very few games for us through the end of the season.

But it does give the other strikers a chance to shine we suppose.

Islam Slimani – still injured

If Rafa had known that Slimani would be injured for so long, he would have kept Aleksandar Mitrovic at the club.

But Mitro is now beginning to knock the goals in at Fulham on loan for the rest of the season.

So we are worse off for strikers now than we were before the last day of the January transfer window.

A fit Mitro is on loan at Fulham, and he’s been replaced by an injured Slimani from Leicester City

Here’s the team Rafa will start this afternoon:

Yedlin Lascelles (c) Lejeune Dummett
Shelvey  Diame
Ritchie Perez Kenedy

Let’s hope we can get another win today – we just have to press on and get those points.

The simple facts are as long as that blood sucking parasite Cashley is owner of our great club, we will continue to the laughing stock of the whole country and a circus act, as Cashley is a total clown and a waste of space. HWTL.
