Newcastle Still Doing Well – Much Better Than Two Years Ago

Newcastle are doing quite well, but we are drawing far too many games.

When we are playing teams in relegation it’s essential we don’t lose, but we need to pick up more wins.

Newcastle had a great win two weeks against Manchester United – our first home win since October 21st and yesterday we almost made it two wins in a row,.

I was ready to celebrate until we conceded two late goals which was very painful.

Rafa Benitez – this man can help save us

Newcastle have won two in a row only once this season when we had 3 wins on the trot – so that’s a target for Newcastle – try to get two wins in a row before the end of the season.

We are now doing better than we did two years ago and are now 5 points better off after 28 games played, which is when Rafa was brought in.

Here’s the comparison.

And in Rafa’s first four games in charge, he got only one point so hopefully after 32 games will be way better than the 25 points Newcastle had two years ago.

And here’s how we are positioned in the league table and still just 2 points off the bottom three.

Although it looks like West Brom with just 20 points will find it difficult to catch us now, we are on 29 points with a much better goal difference.

We have a good chance of surviving, but we must take more of our opportunities to score.

But it’s also good that Gayle is now scoring goals again – and he is now top scorer with 5 Premier League goals.

Good for him.

The most he has ever scored in the Premier League is 7 goals in 23 appearances for Crystal Palace back in the 2013-2014 season.

So he has a chance to make it his best Premier League season ever in terms of scoring – he needs 3 more goals to make it his best.

Maybe a hat-trick at Anfield next Saturday?

Here’s where we are in the league after this round of games.

    Anyway. Next.

Chances are we won’t be getting any points next game but looking at the fixtures this may be the case with most candidates.

A point a game, with a couple wins and the designated losses should see us through. Have a feeling we’ll need to beat Chelsea last game and we will 😉

I had a nightmare on Saturday, my WiFi died and we were 2/0 up, Shelvey had just missed a sitter (Was listening on So was probably all my fault we lost.

Didn’t understand taking Gayle off mind you.

Ah well, before the game I’d have taken a point, but 2/0 up with 10 minutes to go?

Why do our players (Yes Shelvey i mean you), nod off for the last 10 if we’re winning, and play out of their shells if we’re losing?

Jib. You are flogging a dead horse. It’s obviously the Gaffers big error taking off a player with an injury before he hobbles himself.

Jeremy Corbyn will be at the League Cup Final on Sunday to watch his beloved Arsenal.

The Labour leader will take a break to watch his team take at Wembley Stadium, a party source said.

It all falls into place Corbyn isn’t a communist spy- it’s far worse he’s an Arsenal fan. In fact a season ticket holder – aren’t Arsenal ST’s
the most expensive in the Premiership ?
    Another champagne Socialist/ Communist/ Marxist.

If we can’t muster 9pts together before the Chelsea game then we won’t be beating Chelsea.
We have 3 winnable 6 pointers at home+ Arsenal are doable at home,Watford Leicester.Everton, We can get something from those games, Leicester were poor at home to Stoke, Everton not brilliant. We won’t beat Spurs at Wembly but it won’t be a shock to me if we get something at Liverpool, our form is hit and miss but we have only lost 1 in our last 8 , that shows we are no pushover
