Rafa Wants To Buy This £25M Rated Box-To-Box Midfielder In Summer

La Provence recently reported that Newcastle are interested in signing 22-year-old Marseille midfielder Andre Zambo Anguissa.

The 22-year-old Cameroon International holding midfielder has been capped 11 times by his country and moved to Marseille in 2015 from Stade de Reims.

The 6ft tall defensive midfielder could be costly in the summer because there are a number of clubs interested in him.

But Rafa wants to further increase the competition in the center of midfield for Newcastle with Shelvey, Diame, Merino, and Hayden currently the ones fighting it out to start games.

Andre Zambo Anguissa – the complete midfielder

French football expert Nathan Staples of GFFN (Get French Football News – here’s his Twitter account) thinks Anguissa would be an excellent acquisition for Newcastle and believes him to be the complete midfielder.

Here’s what Nathan  has said in an article in the Chronicle:

“Zambo Anguissa is a box-to-box style midfield that excels in breaking up play and starting attacks.”

“He’s quick in the challenge, able to apply a high press and get stuck in while also combining great close-ball control with a range of passing that allows him to be a kind of jack-of-all-trades that you need in the middle of the park.”

“With the caveat that Newcastle stay in the Premier League, I think he’ll finally add a complete midfielder that the Magpies are lacking.

“A lot of their current crop are one-dimensional or wildly inconsistent, whereas Zambo Anguissa is a step up from that and would be comfortable in a two or three-man midfield.”

“Marseilles absolutely don’t have to sell anymore and with rising fees combined with the fact he’s an important player to the squad, it’s probably going to be in the £25M – £30M range.

It will be a test for Mike Ashley to spend £25M on any player.

We’ll just have to wait and see if the owner is willing to pay out top money for a top player this summer.

If he isn’t, we could be in trouble again.

🙁

Ashley spending £25-30m on a player Ed? You must be on the magic mushrooms!

Dr Ed’s recently had to pay for a wedding. Presumably £25-£30 Million seems a lot cheaper than it used to

Let’s wait and see what league we’re in first, 50/50 chance to survival.
25 mil on one player, I don’t think so.
There’s always so much speculation surrounding Newcastle and thats Exactly what it is speculation.

I expect that Penfold will straight in with a £7m bid. He might stretch it to £10m.

For as long as we are blighted by the current ownership, we will never get put in proper bids. Loan deals all the way!

Cashless wouldn’t sanction a player for 50p and a packet of swizzels in January, 25m under his stewardship is …….unlikely, unless he sees the possibility of him turning into a pogba /coutinho and even then, he might stretch to 10m ……unlikely, but possible……..more than likely loan signings like January, after all if Rafa manages to keep us up with this squad and a few loans, imagine what he could do with some more loans, we may never buy another player, the only team in a top league with none of their own players, just loaned from all over the world……..wow, penfold ….get on it!!

Let’s hope we survive and Mash sells up and we can eventually move forward. If we do stay up under Cashleys ownership and budget next season will be a similar outcome scratching around in the dreaded relegation zone. Time for change!

For those of you making jokes about Mr. Ashley being fat and greedy don’t you think he’s got enough on his plate?

I think Cashley misheard Sir John and thought he said “Loanies” , the sooner he disassociates himself from the club the better, whether that be through sale, gift aid or death, I don’t care ,as long as he’s gone

Catchy (Our Norwegian correspondent ) and Jesper ( Our Danish correspondent) recently went on a fishing trip to Canada . They only managed to catch 3 fish and Catchy remarked that those fish had cost them 6 hundred quid a piece . Jesper replied, ” It’s a good job we didn’t catch any more than we did!

Ashley will never ever spend 25m on a player . He has a long thin Willy as he is a tight fisted wa…er. I could sharpen my pencil with his anus.

And now the blog is stationary again.

Without going into the realms of metaphysical turds again, does everybody realise that there is a 20% to 50% chance (very good odds) that we are living in a computer simulation and that the shape of the world could be anything the programmer wants it to be.

This is actual hypothesized by sensible modern scientific thinking and could well be correct.

Unfortunately the programmer doesn’t seem to be a Toon fan.

Funnily enough I posted exactly that on a blog, dunno if it was this one, some years ago.

You could be right although I’d have my team being a bit more successful if it was all me.

If you can something called “the egg” about a god like being talking to someone, it’s very deep and philosophical and enlightening.
