Aleksandar Mitrovic Scores Again For Fulham In 2-1 Win

Aleksandar Mitrovic is helping Fulham climb the Championship table, and he scored the first Fulham goal yesterday in their 2-1 away win at Derby County.

Mitro scored his third goal in as many games for Fulham yesterday.

That came after just 10 minutes and a second goal from Sessegnon after 22 minutes put the Cottagers in control.

A consolation goal was scored after 68 minutes by Huddlestone, but Fulham ran out 2-1 winners.

That win takes Fulham to 62 points and 4th place and they go above Derby with the win.

There were also five Championship games canceled because of the inclement weather.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – scored after just 10 minutes

Since Mitro joined Fulham they have played six games – won four and drew two – for a points total of 14 – not too bad at all.

They are certainly the in-form side in the Championship at the moment.

Sunderland drew 1-1 at Millwall yesterday, but they are stuck at the bottom of the league with only 28 points from their 35 games.

With 11 games still to play, Sunderland are 4 points from safety – behind 4th bottom Barnsley,

But they also have a poor goal difference of -26 and are more like 5 points from safety.

Yesterday’s game was hard to watch again. But over the last weeks Liverpool have put 4 past Man City and West Ham, 5 past Porto, 3 past West Brom and Huddersfield as well as beating almost everyone they’ve come up against.
No need for any hysteria yet. We have to beat Southampton and Huddersfield next. Those games will determine where we end up, not the Liverpool one.
I have an awful feeling that Bournemouth result will come back to haunt us. I feel that had a huge impact on morale.

Oh and I agree with posada. I don’t think we’re a championship team. I think we’re a premiership team with a championship attack.

    From previous re Ashley:-

Or alternatively Ashley is running The Toon like he does his shops, on an absolute shoestring (take a look at how the employment at SJP has fallen by 80% during the last 10 years), and spending the absolute minimal for the maximum return.

This is what he’s doing now, and this will be us year after year unless he goes, he’s never going to change his ways.

Does he care if we finish in 17th or 14th? Of course not, the money is negligible and he’d have had to spend more cash to get the 14th place. So, in his mind “Why should i do that”?

    Think that may be difficult.
Ian Rush was a great player. By the time he played for us he had lost the pace to get him into the positions to score.
Is Torres now like that. Don’t know I can’t say I have watched him at all for a few years.

Following on from Dubai. Said a while back I think MA is comfortable with the investment it takes to be top half of the Championship/bottom half of Prem. That can make you a yo yo team.
He probs thinks great if we go down parachute payments kick in and we come back up.
We all know how dangerous that game is. I don’t think he does.

Strikers in the PL are the most difficult
    of signings to make
Everton paid £27million last month for
Cenk Tosun and he’s played 5 times
    and scored once.
It would appear to guarantee a successful
striker from abroad that Serie A is the best

Have we not got a decent centre-forward in Mitrovich 9 goals in his first season in the premieship for a relegated team

Think Mitro works if you set your whole team up with him as your main player.
Serbia do. Why ? A national team cannot go out and buy the style of player they want.
They have few options as a small country and he is their man to go to.
Serbia have some good players to go with it.

Rafa does not want to do that.
Hope he does well. A top centre forward even in the Championship is worth at least 15-18 million.

Mitro in the team we would have had a least 2 more wins , sorry Rafa you are wrong with Mitro. Has Salah scored more goals than the our team put together. So being negative to keep our goal difference low the answer or become more attacking and getting 1 more point better.Attack attack attack in our last home games or go down with a whimper?

If Slim Shady is not fit by the next game I am afraid a few old english sayings may be appropriate.

    Pig in a poke.
    cat’s out of the bag.
    Sold a pup.

Mitro is gone, Can’t blame the lad, He is now starting to find his form again. A bit of common courtesy and the chance to impress was all that was needed for him. Well Done Mitro. You deserve it mate. I will be amazed if he stays here after loan period.
