Before last night’s game at home to Sheffield United Aleksandar Mitrovic had scored a goal in each of his three previous games for Fulham.
And last night at Craven Cottage Mitro scored the first two goals (31, 44) in the 3-0 defeat of Sheffield United – with Newcastle target Tom Cairney getting the third after 61 minutes.
That’s the third win on the trot for Fulham and they are unbeaten since Mitro joined the Craven Cottage club on loan on 31st January.
Mitro is enjoying his time in London but it’s a lot more difficult scoring goals in the Premier League than down below in the Championship.
But it will give some ammunition to those fans who think Mitro should have played more for Newcastle this season.
He didn’t seem to fit into Rafa’s style of quick counter-attacks but impressive Fulham manager and fellow Serbian Slaviaa Jokanovic is playing to Mitro’s strengths and getting the best out of the 33 times capped Serbian International (11 goals).
Mitrovic now has 5 goals in just 7 appearances for Fulham – and he could be the signing that gets Fulham back into the Premier League in May.
