Aleksandar Mitrovic Cannot Stop Scoring

Before last night’s game at home to Sheffield United Aleksandar Mitrovic had scored a goal in each of his three previous games for Fulham.

And last night at Craven Cottage Mitro scored the first two goals (31, 44)  in the 3-0 defeat of Sheffield United – with Newcastle target Tom Cairney getting the third after 61 minutes.

That’s the third win on the trot for Fulham and they are unbeaten since Mitro joined the Craven Cottage club on loan on 31st January.

Mitro is enjoying his time in London but it’s a lot more difficult scoring goals in the Premier League than down below in the Championship.

But it will give some ammunition to those fans who think Mitro should have played more for Newcastle this season.

He didn’t seem to fit into Rafa’s style of quick counter-attacks but impressive Fulham manager and fellow Serbian Slaviaa Jokanovic is playing to Mitro’s strengths and getting the best out of the 33 times capped Serbian International (11 goals).

Mitrovic now has 5 goals in just 7 appearances for Fulham – and he could be the signing that gets Fulham back into the Premier League in May.

What do you think?

There was talk at that True Faith podcast of targeting his shops if he’s still around and Rafa isn’t.

Joselu hasn’t scored goals at any level in any league, but he will continue to play, why? People and Rafa can keep making excuses, but there really aren’t any. Give a young striker, who has scored at every other level where he has been given consistent playing time, or keep playing two strikers who cannot score. Complete insanity!!! Should be interesting to see how things play out and where everyone ends up when all games are played.

Although he is scoring in an attacking team it has to be said it is in the Championship. He struggles in the Premiership and Rafa is of the opinion that he just cannot trust him given the position we are in. There is a telling report coming out that he was asked to work harder in training while with us with his effort being tracked by a GPS vest. However, he was reportedly not performing better than the likes of Dwight Gayle, Joselu and Ayoze Perez.

    Just not true

He was a 1 in 3 striker for a couple of Bundesliga teams

when younger he played for Real Madrid Castilla
in the Spanish 2nd tier – in his second season
there , when he was 21 ,he scored 26 goals in 36 games.
