Wor Flags Group Doing All They Can For Saturday’s Vital Game

The Chronicle are reporting the Wor Flags group of fans have some big plans for a display in the Gallowgate End before the vital games against Southampton.

The return is after they have had what are called constructive talks with the club – after showing that controversial banner that quoted Kevin Keegan,  before the 1-1 draw with Brighton – a game that was televised live around the world.

The Wor Flags Group are saying it will be the biggest display they have put on this season in order to create the atmosphere that will be conducive to a massive Newcastle win.

So you cannot say this group isn’t doing all they can to get Newcastle the win on Saturday.

That’s what we want to see – all 3 points against Southampton.

The Chronicle is reporting this important information which is relevant to some fans in the Gallowgate end:

“Saturday’s display will be in the middle tier of the Gallowgate with the group estimating it as one of the biggest displays they have put on for the most important game of the season.”

“A huge foil display is planned and more details will be released later in the week but fans who sit in those seats are being asked to play their part and will be able to take home something that will be left on their seats on Saturday.”

A spokesman for the Wor Flags group has said the following:

“We had really constructive talks with the club and we’re delighted that we’ve got a display on Saturday. It will be one of our biggest yet.”

“The whole idea of the group is to improve the atmosphere and make it a positive atmosphere for the players to play in.”

“Because that is clearly helpful to the team and what Rafa Benitez is trying to do.”

We are trying to get the word out, and the displays take a lot of setting up – so if you want to volunteer – please send an email to worhyem1892.org.uk.

The Wor Flags group are doing an excellent job for the club – their substantial efforts are much appreciated.

Comments welcome.

Journalists and pundits now jumping on the juvenile reasoning bandwagon. I bet none of these experts said a peep when he was floundering on the subs bench this last year. Now suddenly he’s this great wasted prospect. Where was he when we needed him to stop us being relegated? Where was he to help us get promoted? Where was he this season when we had to buy Joselu for crying out loud? He must have been doing something cack that’s for sure.

Have you noticed the ones who are bleating
about Mitro are the same folk who said we
should give Hatem ben Arfa another try ?

Hmm champions league and Serbia v stoke flop. Better prem scoring record v stoke reject. Oh wait, the striker, there to score goals doesn’t defend as well as the stoke reject. So let’s dump him when we don’t have any striking depth. Yip, good move .

Not really a juvenile argument. Journos aren’t going to write about every player who isn’t starting when they probably should be. Fact is he’s banging in goals and Sheffield fans have been quoted as saying he was unplayable. Let’s not forget his form for Serbia.

Where was he when we got relegated and last year? Both are because Rafa clearly has a problem with him. Regarding relegation I remember he came on late against Norwich and caused absolute havoc and got ua something out of the game, goal and assist I think and possibly hit the woodwork. I thought here we go, Rafa has to start him next game and he’ll keep us up playing like that! I think he hardly saw another minute. The rest is history.

The lad clearly has talent and has physical assets other teams, players and managers must envy. Rafa has had about 2 years to sort it out now, surely man management shouldn’t be so challenging for such a world class experience manager.

The situations a joke and I’ve been saying it for 2 years

    It’s the Wishful Thinking Crew.

They look at him scoring goals in a lower league and think ,”hey this kid wasn’t so bad after all he’s bound to easily be as good I’m the premiership for us”

All sound reasoning, except he wasn’t for the last two years. In fact he was less good than Dwight Gayle.

According to the Chronic Mitro’s training levels
were a joke . In short he was lazy bugger.
Not acceptable when he earns in a week a
lump that would be life changing for me.

    Like the flags great idea

Pity the crowd are 90% mute furious by the rest of the game

Terrible atmosphere majority of the time (barring the last 20 minutes v man united)

Need a massive standing singing section

In fact 4 singing sections in all sides of the ground so it can generate a bit of noise (instead we have tiny pockets of fans trying to get things going Whilst others try to shut them up)

Mitrovic wouldn’t be so prolific in the premier league, combined with the poor service in our team. Rafa’s style of football wasn’t playing to Mitro’s strengths either.
Good luck to him, Ash will be rubbing his hands together with his value rising.

If there is one thing you all do tonight, read the article I posted. Agree or disagree it is food for thought. If nothing else it is nostalgic to hear the way Sir Bobby spoke. Very carefully chosen words. I particularly enjoyed this part, what a way to turn a bad story and a loaded question into a positive for club and player:

Robson was loathe to comment on the Cardiff nightclub incident involving Bellamy with Wales, other than to say, “Craig has worked tremendously hard at his game since he came to Newcastle and we have seen the results.

“Next he has to work at his character – and if the results are identical, that will be great for everybody.”

There has been plenty of players who did/have not trained well even some never trained wrapped in cotton wool ie King at Spuds and the Irish international at Man Utd name gone out of my head.

I feel RAFA and Mitro fell out after the two Preston games last season.

When he scored both goals away and was substituted and the cup game at home when he was superb and took the adulation of the crowd during the game and after when he stayed on the pitch and the Gallowgate stayed behind to sing Mitros on fire.

After that game he hardly got a look in.

Maybe RAFA does not like a player who the crowd idolize ie Ronaldo at Real Madrid

Don’t know but something not right and I personally think it was crazy to send him out on loan when we did not have a replacement as they knew Silami was injured and could be out for up to a month

There’s no argument as to Joselu offering anything other than pure crap. It’s embarrassing he was brought to club. Our squad is deplorable. We cleared out deadwood and replaced it with deadwood. It’s not rafas fault. He was made promises which were not kept. We ended up with unproven dirt who in the end proved to be dirt. Rafa will leave unless Ashley leaves. And Ashley leaving is highly unlikely after getting his hands on the biggest profit the club has ever made.

Like I said yesterday, Ashley will be loving this situation of his own making. A striker heading towards the 20M mark, the manager who he probably can’t stand by now starting to get a bit of stick from the media and he still gets his down to the wire relegation battle for his thrills. Despicable man.
