Report – Newcastle Could Miss Out On Top Summer Target

Newcastle have been interested in 27-year-old Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues since last summer and we had a £7M offer for him turned down by his club in January.

There has been a steady stream of news coming out of Turkey that Newcastle are expected to go back in for the player this summer with at least a £10M bid.

And the player himself has talked about the bid to go to Newcastle being less than €15M (£13.4M) – which gave us some hope that he was indeed coming to Newcastle.

Garry Rodrigues – two Milan clubs interested

His agent has been talking to Voetbal International about his client’s future and said this:

“Garry is improving every day with Galatasaray but I think there’s a chance he could go to either Inter or Milan.”

“There are however, too many people who want to manipulate players.”

Rodrigues has been in excellent form for his club this season and in 29 total appearances for Galatasaray, the winger/striker has scored 7 goals and assists.

And going after this class of player we should expect some big clubs to also be after them.

Unfortunately, the interest of the two Milan clubs will tend to raise the price of Rodrigues way above £13.4M.

Gary Rodrigues has never been and never will be our ‘top summer target’. That would be Troy Deeney

    Tsunki from last night

They weren’t pointless stats, they were stats pointing out that without mitros input last season we wouldnt have got automatic promotion so just putting them up for people who like to spout he only scored 1 and did bugger all or was a failure or useless and so on i.e bullshit

Bus on the move again, I’ll come back when it’s stopped.

Oh and Ed whilst I think about it were you saying earlier that you might temporarily suspend the blog after the Southampton game, if we lose it, until after our three week break?

Thought this was worth a re-post.

Congratulations to The Heed for winning their quarter final match against Leyton Orient in the FA Trophy, onward to Wembley for them!

Wow, this is shocking news, its hard to believe an agent would say something like this with only a few months left of the season. God I hope the agent knows what he is doing, this may scare Newcastle into jumping in and signing his player quickly. God I hope this happens so the agent can make as much money as possible as he really reserves it giving Newcastle a heads up on proceedings. What a great guy/agent he is.
