Alan Shearer Reacts To Great Result And Kenedy Goals

Kenedy got Newcastle off to the best start we could imagine when he scored after 63 seconds against Southampton – what took him so long?

And then the Chelsea star scored again after 29 minutes with Matt Ritchie adding a third and his second of the season after 59 minutes.

Let’s hear it for our lads – they produced the result – our joint best result of the season –  a great result when we needed it.

Next up is Huddersfield – we need all 3 points then too.

Howay The Lads!!

Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey: “We had a game plan, we worked on it over the last couple of days and implemented it well, and thought we fully deserved points.

Comment “…and Alan Pardew – I’ll be surprised to see him coach a team again”

Meanwhile after a fan hand a corner flag into the centre spot, David Sullivan is escorted safely from the ground.

As they said on Irish radio, Southampton are a team without identity, sleepwalking to relegation. Spot on.

I did say beforehand I think kenedy will have a good game today. Everyone did to be fair and did not bottle it in a big, pressured game. Well done. I don’t think we played much differently to majority of matches this season either, just that we were more clinical and took our chances.

On way home. We didn’t have to play that well as Southampton so poor but scored good goals. The result is everything though

    Hail Wor Ashley
Mitro with his now regular goal looking like a winner for Fulham again

    Whoops wrong again
    1-1

Whoops, somebody got a little eager and if I may say, a little pleased if mitro in fact did not win the game. Which is odd for a Newcastle fan to say about someone who at the end of the day is still their player.

Is it possible West Ham can be deducted points for this or will it just be a hefty fine for the club and banning orders for the fans? Understand their frustration but wrong way to go about it and needs to be stamped out.

Dummet impressed me again and Yedlin was pretty solid on the other side. Can’t really pick fault with any of the back four to be fair.

Similar to ManU win in that every player played really well. Credit to Rafa for getting the absolute best out of this squad and getting them to play as a team United and each one grafting for each other and the shirt!

Even when we win by a decent margin we still get wistful mitrovic comments. As if this was what he was like the last three years. Shut it down will ya?

What’s the issue with bringing up Mitro? He’s still our player and his benefiting from a manager that believes in him. Does a day to by that you don’t twist about Mitro? Skip the comment and ignore it.

West ham trouble today apparently, are the wheels coming off for them?

That’s the problem Our Toon I’m not twisting about him at all and as our player nothing would be better than for him to finally pop up as a proper premiership striker solution. Hopefully he is learning something now.

BUT you and I both know he’s only mentioned in context of saying how it’s a big mistake him being loaned out Rafa is a poor manager etc etc it gets tedious. We have our own fish to fry here.

Can we look at today’s game and the games that imploded around us and leave Mitro out of any conversation. We have killed the Mitro talk over the last week and to be honest who gives a crap about what he is doing at another club in a lower division I wish the Mitro thing will be a dead issue now. We need to focus on all things going on at our club and forget about Fulham and that merry go round. Lets hope that Chelsea, Arsenal and spurs get wins this weekend which will be the icing on the cake for a great set of results for our club, leaving Man city to finish the job on Monday, I can see Rafa smiling if everything goes to plan over the next two days.

Rafa’s grin near the end was almost as big as the grin on my mush. Team Toon brill and Mo-Jo giving it plenty what more could you ask? Joselu was even shoving people about!
