Report – Rafa Benitez Bidding To Sign Top Young Netherlands Free Agent

The Sun are reporting that Rafa Benitez of Newcastle wants to sign Manchester City winger Javairo Dilrosun this summer.

The 19-year-old left-winger can play on either wing and in attacking midfield, and he seems to be seeing out his contract at City, with new terms not being able to be agreed between the player and club.

Rafa will try to bring in some top free agents this summer and now is the time to go after them since other clubs will also be after them.

Manchester City winger Javairo Dilrosun – in Netherlands colors

The news is that other clubs such as Benfica, Swansea, and Derby are after him with Rafa offering £1M for him in compensation and if we can get him through the door he will join the U23 squad.

Dilrosun was born in Holland, and he has played for all the Netherlands Youth sides through the U19 level and is highly thought of at City.

Our U23 team has had maybe their worst season for a very long time, and Rafa has let a number of the players leave this summer when their contracts run out.

Players like Dilrosun are the type we need, and then the challenge is to turn them into first-team players of the future.

What do you think?

    Rob previous thread
I didn’t actually see that article but it’s not surprising. Despite his many critics, he’s an important player. Now that dummett is finally getting some deserved recognition, maybe Perez is the new dummett!

Was an interesting read ronaldo. Table showing points when names played as opposed to when they didn’t.

We have to be the most deluded of fans, easy to see why Ashley wanted our club. How many times are people going to claim Ashley has changed? Or that he and rafa will see eye to eye.

Good grief, the only way to ensure we kick on is by making sure the club gets sold, not being hoodwinked into believing Ashley will change and that he’ll back any manager. Hope overtakes reality and fans just keep thinking it’ll be different this time.

To come on here a read some of the comments regarding rafa and Ashley being able to work together is laughable. Why would anyone believe a man who repeatedly breaks promises?

We need to get out and scout a handful of young players across Europe and not just sit around waiting for Man C, Everton or Celtic to release somebody. The only way for us to break the top 6 is to get lucky and find the next Bale so we should invest massively in our youth team plus snap up the best young players in the lower leagues. We seem to have not been bothering with our reserves since we brought Lascelles/ Darlow in a few years back.

    RobLeenio/Jail sorry for late reply

    my reasoning being
no rise in the tv monies – which i feel he was expecting fixed for 3 years ( that’s where his greed came in )

Rafa still under contract which is a big plus
another season in the Prem guaranteed which gives a new owner a fresh start with no silly clause in the sale which is what Ashley wanted all along
all this added together makes the time right for Ashley to sell with the club back at the top of the market premium price guaranteed

gone at the end of the season quickly and quietly

I always understood the 250 bid to be for a PL team I cant see much has changed to make them up that bid.

Based on youtube footage alone ( never a fair reflection of a player I admit) this Dilrosun lad looks the business. Appears to have it all in his game. I’d imagine he’d want to go to a team where he will actually play, as opposed to playing for our U-23 side.

If you think Ashley’ll go quietly, forget it. He’ll string any negotiations out to the last penny he can squeeze out of a prospective buyer and more to the point, when he does agree to sell, there’ll be dancing in the streets.
