It was a tough week for Ayoze Perez after his grandmother passed away last Wednesday.
A couple of hours ago Ayoze posted an emotional tweet on his Twitter account which reveals the death of his grandmother, and he has dedicated Saturday’s win to her.
Ayoze was one of many Newcastle players who ran themselves into the ground for the Newcastle cause.
Our commiserations go out to Ayoze on the loss of his grandma.
Ayoze Perez – in action on Saturday
Now we know what was also motivating Ayoze on Saturday.
Last week has been a very hard week for me, last Wednesday my grandma passed away ?, she was like a second mother for me, Saturday’s win was for her… and THANKS to all the fans for the support you showed, it was too much needed for me after some sad days. Comment #3ronaldo, did you see the article in The Mag yesterday which broke down the average points earned per game when each player is on the pitch against when they are missing? Three players showed average earnings of one point per game – Jamaal Lascelles, Matt Ritchie and…..
….Ayoze Perez.
