Report – Newcastle Were The Big Winners

Last weekend was a terrific win for us against Southampton, and most of the other teams fighting relegation were beaten with the exception being at Huddersfield who drew 0-0 at home to Swansea.

But Newcastle gained all 3 points on Southampton, Stoke, Watford, Bournemouth, Brighton, West Brom, West Ham, and Crystal Palace.

Newcastle are now listed at 14/1 to be relegated, and in our last four games, we have two wins and a draw.

But it was still only one game, and we have another must-win game coming up two weeks on Saturday when we play at home again, this time against Huddersfield who are one point behind us in the league.

Rafa Benitez – smiling and confident

That’s how the Saints were positioned before last Saturday’s game, but now we are 4 points ahead of them.

The game against the Terriers is another must-win game.

In the Croydon Advertiser today they go over the various teams who are fighting relegation.

The last paragraph in the report is as follows:

“The big winners from last weekend were Newcastle United, however, as the only team in the bottom half that won they rose to 32 points, one ahead of the Swans, and now are 14/1 to go down.”

We need to make sure after the weekend of March 31st – it’s the same, and we are the big winners again.

Got to beat Huddersfield we seem to have a way of playing now that we didn’t have the last time we played them and I think our pressing with Shelvey and Diame in the middle will be too strong for them! Just got to hope we finish the chances we create !

Hughes as Southampton manager is a strange one at times with Stoke he has been too attacking and also too defensive so I guess at Southampton they will be all out attack ha ha not sure their defence is good enough for that so could send them down !!
