Kenedy Keen To Sign For Newcastle Permanently – It Would Be A Pleasure

Loan signing Robert Kenedy – referred to simply as Kenedy – seems to be really enjoying his spell at Newcastle and has started the last six games.

He is a star man at Newcastle, and we have to see what the Chelsea management think about selling their 22-year-old in the summer.

But the news is that the £15M fee circulated recently is not accurate, and Chelsea could want more than that for the winger.

And they may also want to send Kenedy out on loan again next season because if he keeps playing like he has been for Newcastle, the fee will keep going up.

Kenedy – emotional after scoring a brilliant goal against Southampton

Kenedy has been interviewed this week by Brazilian outlet UOL:

This is some of what he said:

“This new stage with Newcastle’s shirt makes me very happy,”

“It’s very difficult for a player to stay a long time without playing, even more to get back in the rhythm of the Premier League.”

“If it’s good for everyone, it would be a pleasure to continue wearing the shirt of this great team.”

“The manager insists that I learn to speak English, he acts with me like a father, and I learn a lot from him.”

Kenedy is right to say it has to be right for both clubs – but he seems to be falling in love with Newcastle and our fans.

We hope he is falling in love with Newcastle and our fans.

🙂

Kenedy has been fantastic for Newcastle since he joined us on loan and he seems just a smashing lad willing to learn from Rafa.

And it must be satisfying for the youngster that is he is not wanted by Chelsea in the future then he knows Newcastle United are very interested in him staying on Tyneside.

Our fans love the lad.

And if he is sent out on loan next season there seems a decent chance we can get him again – he’s improving under Rafa and Chelsea will see that.

And while Chelsea fans don’t seem to like Rafa too much – he is highly respected within the club; some of that respect is for winning the Europa League for them back in 2013.

That was a phenomenal achievement for an interim manager.

The supposed 15m fee will be closer to 20-25m imho, just basing it on the fees for the likes of Ake , unless were bought by a serious investor, we will struggle to keep him with no agreed price on the table……although he’s said he wants to be here….he’s not really going to say anything else either is he?

Paris St-Germain midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa has announced he will leave the Ligue 1 side at the end of the season. The 31-year-old Frenchman has been linked with Leicester City.

So less squad space at Leicester for Slimani then ?

A lot of the Chelsea fans have changed their
    tune about Rafa of late.
    As Joni Mitchell once sang
“You don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone”

More than £15 million for Kenedy? Cuadarado was a far more accomplished player and closer to the Chelsea first team, and he was sold for £18 million. We are talking a full Colombian international here. Factor is inflation, sure, but £15 million seems fair with inflation factored in. It has taken Kenedy a while to get going, and no consistency has yet been witnessed.

    Earlier thread regarding takeover .

I think Ashley genuinely has had enough of NUFC . The two secret bidders are most likely stalking horses, the signal for Staveley move in. If Ashley will accept £325Mill then it’s a done deal. 3pts tomorrow may start the ball rolling regarding negotiations so that as soon as we are safe, pen can be put to paper.

I think every good performance will UP Kenedy’s value, especially if he bangs a few more goals in, let’s hope there isn’t a bidding war and also let’s hope we are under new ownership that want to take the club forward

Glad to hear it Jib, I hope your right Ancient, it’s just a feeling I have due to the stupid prices being paid for top six failures/youth players who have yet to make it.
As for the consistency, I think he’s been consistently our best LW when played, yeah , he runs out of steam but our performances since he and Dubravka have been included is highlighted by our points gained in the past few games.
I for one would love to see him stay, with Rafa coaching and a bit more stamina he could be what we need to compliment Dummet on the left, I hope Ritchie and Yedlin can do the same on the right as it gives us a balance on the flanks meaning it’s harder for defenders if they have to martial both sides and the middle.
If we could get Slimani/a proper striker of that ilk into the front line, Shelvey and Mo running midfield we just need a tricky no10 and some cover and we’re set to compete in the right end of the table for a change…….

Chelsea are,nt gonna let Kennedy move to us permanently for nothing. Plus if he keeps playing for us like he has for the last few games then their Transfer price will keep increasing i believe ! As long as Fat Ash is the owner we have no chance of signing the lad on a fast deal. I think he is worth a lot more tha the 15 Mil that we have seen quoted in the press! We can wax lyrical about how good a player he is but if ee ever get him signed?? I, for one have my doubts, Manure or Shitty or Barca or PSG would pay upwards from 25 Mil for him! With that we just cannot compete at this moment in time, but heh, with another owner and a love of the Club and City? Who knows? we may have a chance of signing him ????? Not with the present owners though, but ??
