Newcastle Fans Take To Twitter For Difficult Game Against Huddersfield

Newcastle fans are buzzing today after a long three weeks since our last league game – a 3-0 home win against Southampton.

Huddersfield will be more difficult today but it;’s a game against a team lower than us in the league and at home – so we have to win this game.

One worrying thing to us is that a massive 83% of our fans are expecting a win and in the past that has sometimes resulted in a shock result.

Let’s hope that’s not the case today and however we can manage it we must 3 points today.

Then we can look forward to getting an away win at Leicester City next Saturday.

Howay the Lads!!

Newcastle fans

Norman – good you got some studying in!

Got a text of my mate last night. He’s a Derby ST holder. Seems they’re owner is similar to ours. Worst of it, he’s, a lifelong Rams fan too.
Waited until the ST’s had been renewed and now told them there’ll be no further investment next season.
He was there last night and sounded devastated. Not surprising like, that was awful. I’d be demanding a stewards enquiry myself. Talk about gifting the mackems a win. You could be forgiven for thinking Derby players had a bet on themselves losing.

Put us down for a 3-0 win on my Super Six today. Our defence is pretty solid and they struggle to score anyway. Gayle must be looking over his shoulder with Slimani fit now and it might spur him on to start scoring again.
Rafa’s got the lads playing well and capable of beating anybody around us.
These ain’t on a good run either so an early goal may well see them crumble. Always the optimist. 🙂

Huddersfield will park the bus today, They will take a point but will try to sneak a goal and continue to park the bus. It’s important we score first because they don’t have a plan B

I must be suffering from the Mandela effect as for some reason I thought we were already on 35 points, perhaps I’ve already seen a day into the future. Right now for the Lottery! ;P

    Hi Bobby and Essex,

It is quiet as the Toon Army is resting it’s voice so when Essex tells us that it is time for KO the noise will be deafening and terrify the terriers.

I hope everyone accepts this is not a must win game.
Before the Southampton match I said the same.
37 points would give us an 85% chance or survival or thereabouts.
We have to get there any which way.

Home draws against Burnley, Brighton and Swansea seemed like a disappointment, but those three points were vital. Especially when you put them with the wins against Man U, Stoke etc.

it’s hilarious moyes saying WHU won’t sign good players if the fans can’t behave, nothing about not coming to a dinosaur manager who has now failed at 4 clubs in a row

Went wandering around the Web. Morning Bill, Toon dog and everybody else.
Sadly, time to set off now so no time to chat. A win, all other results go our way and worries are in the past. How hard is that after all? 🙂
Wherever you are watching or listening, enjoy the win.

    Munster,
Not really, he completely swerved the takeover talks and talked about securing our PL status before wasting energy on talking about the future. It’s obvious he wants to stay and build something, it’s all in the fat mans hands, whether or not he wants to sell or continue playing funny buggers. OR, stop being a tw@t and letting Rafa get on with it with every means possible.

Optimistic today, but our record is spotty against Udders, and their backs are against the perverbial wall…

    Dubravka
    Manquillo Lascelles Lejuene Dummett
    Shelvey Diame
    Atsu Perez Kenedy
    Gayle (Slimani on at 65′)

EGB @5 – I’ve got a feeling Rafa will go with the same team that started against Southampton – only doubt is Yedlin if he is recovered enough after his travelling which I guess is why you have Mbemba at RB? If that is the case I think Rafa is more likely to play Manquillo as he just doesn’t rate Mbemba for whatever reason!
Joselu being injured made the decision easy for Rafa who to leave off the bench for Slimani.

Swansea 18/1 to beat Man Utd. Seems generous. One for a weekend accumulator if you like to shoot for the stars.

I liked Benitez’ comments on a previous article, refusing to acknowledge the rumoured club sale as being responsible for poor form.

That was my thinking and the reason why he might select Mbemba ahead of Manquillo is that he had such a good game in the the Antwerp friendly.

I think that way of thinking is ok for the supporters to have to help keep an even keel but I sure hope our players are not thinking that way and will play all our games with urgency until we are officially safe. Need a do or die attitude until then. We are in a relegation battle. They players need to battle! HWTL!

Didn’t watch the Football Focus interview but there is one on the NUFC site (might even be the same one) but I had a little chuckle at seeing the fat bloke who I assume is on the training staff who I pointed out after the Antwerp game.

Perhaps he aint fat but very chunky?

Rafa might even spring a surprise by starting Slimani, Wagner won’t be expecting that.

Dubai – they get a lot of penalties primarily because they have players like Zaha who will attack the penalty area and take on defenders. If you compare to us we haven’t had anyone in a long time really willing and able to do that consistently. Now maybe Kenedy can help change this. HWTL!

Both teams know that 3 points today is essential to their run in.

It might start cagey but I expect attack will be the order of the day.

3-2 Toon win in an edgy game with high weather unpredictability. Not for faint hearts.

Jib Jibberish – I must say I do find it amusing (but also sad) that you attempt to comment on all subjects – when clearly you haven’t a clue about most – I’ll give you rugby and a bit on the technology front – but everything else you fail miserably. To be fair I did warn you about the dangers of misinterpreting Google several years ago.
However your regular gaffes/bloomers are a source of amusement.
