Fans Take To Twitter To Hail Job Done By Rafa

It’s been a tough season there’s no doubt about that.

After 9 games played we had 13 points and were 6th top of the league, but then in the next 9 games we had one point and were 3rd bottom.

That’s a food definition of a roller-coaster.

And since then Newcastle have taken 21 points from the last 13 games we’ve played and we’re starting to pull away from the bottom three.

While it’s not mathematically certain it looks like we should be able to avoid relegation this season and even finish in a decent position in the league.

We are 12th on 35 points right now.

10Newcastle38-844
11Crystal Palace38-1044
12Bournemouth38-1644
13West Ham38-2042

Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to hail another good season from the Newcastle manager.

And we hope Mike Ashley will give him some well-deserved transfer funds to spend this summer and then we will be on our way!

Rafa deserves every last penny the club has.

Rafa Benitez – with some of his young fans last year

There’s news today that Real Sociedad want him this summer, but there’s no way he’s going back to Spain after his wife and two teenage daughters are settled in the Wirral in Cheshire.

    From previous:-

For anyone like myself that enjoys listening to Pardew get ripped apart by Pundits:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p063396h

Listening to it is actually scary – he was worse when I thought. Feel sorry for the West Brom fans.
    …………………………………………………………………………………………….

Blofal, interesting, basically just a bully, shitting himself, knowing he can’t do the job and blames other people.

He should never be seen again.

I think Rafa will stay with us long term. Hoping one of the rumoured parties interested in a takeover gets talking to MA fairly pronto and starts getting us organized for next season and beyond.

Fancy a new pinned tweet to go out on a limb with.

PREDICTION: NUFC net spend in summer 2018 will exceed £70m.

    Bosh!

This guy is actually really good with his numbers and has been pretty spot on in the past regarding how much the club generates and has to spend on transfers.

I personally dont see it as £70m net spend as we will be offloading a lot of players but it would be a considerable amount.

Dubai we were lucky to escape relegation with him . Remember QPR, Wigans game etc, pure fear. Think i was too tolerant of him back then unlike Rotunda and co who saw it more clearly than me. I can only assume his half good run in Europe and 5th and the amazing city game were a flash that will never happen again. He’s quite liked by journos and apparently has a very charming side. I always found him more gracious in defeat (which was often!) Than tools like Hughes and Wenger and fat sam. I actually thought he would give them the pardew bounce but if didn’t happen. His brit pals in the media used to wind me up hugely ( monkeys heed, ian wright, kamara and co) and any man liked by that orange faced ex palace chairman has to be iffy. His teams was always a fret though. 🙂 As for Carver, what a loon.

Carver reminds me of that south park episode where they rip on russell crowe. He goes around just offering to fight anyone and everybody, forget misunderstandings or being drunk, he just wants to fight lol.

The thing about Carver that amazes me is that the pre-Rafa NUFC board persisted with him as manager for so long in that near relegation season of 2014/2015. The buffoon who accused players of deliberately getting red carded et al, had clearly demonstrated that he had absolutely no leadership qualities and the team were in free fall most of the time he was in charge. And yet Ashley and “the board” did not remove him?!!! Frightening the level of incompetence! Amazing we managed to stay up that year…

I said we would finish 15th but I can’t remember the total number of points lol.

I actually thought Atsu would be our top scorer literally because of his pre-season. It wasn’t meant to be obviously. Lol.

After seeing the chances Gales missed against Huds i think he will be sold in the summer.
You just cant keep missing chances and keep the no9 shirt, its the same reason Mitro will be sold,he misses too many chances to be a top striker.

6 points from our last group of games should easily see us safe this campaign so hopefully the potentially new owners are in deep talks already for next season

Picked the Fulham game to watch Mitro. I’m a bit disappointed. Not by his efforts, but the complete opposite. He seems a yard and a half faster than he ever was for us and there’s none of his petulance on display.
Not that this is a bad thing – far from it – but had he been like this in training and when given a chance, there’s no way he wouldn’t be leading our line.
Still, if he’s trying to prove a point, he’s going the right way about it. Loved the way he directed his header straight at McDonald’s backside to fool the keeper 🙂
He’s managed some lovely weighted touches to put through other players and looks like the player we thought we signed.

    Mitro
He always ends up with a filthy shirt
Rafa must have saved a fortune in

Mitro wouldnt make the bench in any of the top 6
Good luck to him i liked his passion but how many more chances do we give him.
He misses chances and usually looks like getting sent off.

The last Saturday this month it’s Fulham vs
the Mackems , the same day we play WBA
    at SJP.
There’ll be a few London based Geordies
might just fancy an afternoon at the Cottage
    to cheer on the Serb.

Bobby, have u seen him at international level? He’s really good. Rafa has missed a trick with this guy and people claim he doesn’t understand tactics, as though rafa is the only tactical mgr who has managed mitro. It’s all nonsense. I even saw some pace in an international game. He played champs league ffs. Last time i recall, he came on v West Brom and made a big difference So instead we bought a similar type of player , injured. I’ve never seen the logic but we are safe and that’s what counts. If mitro scores a couple per game it won’t matter a damn

When the panel meet to decide on what is or isn’t simulation, I reckon it’s time they included players holding their head when there has been no contact anywhere near.
A deliberate elbow to the noddle is obviously a red card, so how is this not a player simulating a foul to try and get a player sent off? It’s cheating and it needs addressing.

Munster, something has happened we know nothing about mate. Whether it’s a clash of personalities, I have no idea, but clearly they don’t see eye to eye. Either way he’s putting in better performances at Fulham than he did for us, for whatever reason. Any clash between player and manager and rightfully there’s only one winner.
Mitro needs to convince Rafa he’s worth keeping and he’s having a good go. Whether he does or not is down to Rafa. The entire squad is 100% behind Rafa, without a question of doubt. If Mitro isn’t, then he has to go. This is one fight he can’t win.

Birmingham winning at Bolton by 1-0 so puts them 4th bottom of Championship but with 8 points ahead of the Mackems and with a slightly better goal difference of 2 so not quite a 9 point difference but nearly.

Bobybee have you seen Mitros comments? He has been talking nicely About Rafa and Toon. He is good lad and I hope He will get His chance with us next season, Rafa also made statement, that if we play more attacking football with more control and crosses then Mitro Is the man. With some good buys, we can be more attacking side and it would suit to Mitro

No evidence for this, pure speculation on my part, but perhaps Mitro is one of those players who just doesn’t “train” well. I have a suspicion that if Mitro played in practice with his full on bull in a china shop style, he’d probably injure his teammates. As a young player you have to show the manager that you give your all in training, but maybe Mitro just steps it up better in real matches as opposed to the training ground. But Rafa doesn’t see things this way, so Mitro didn’t get picked. Just wondering. Maybe it’s something this simple.
