Report – Rafa Interested In Signing This 22-Year-Old Speedy Winger/Striker

Belgian newspaper HLN are reporting that Newcastle’s manager Rafa Benitez is keen to sign KAA Gent forward Moses Simon this summer.

We’ll be starting to be linked with many players from now until August, but that’s better than having to sell some players if we are relegated.

It is looking like we can survive in the Premier League this season and the team is playing well with stacks of passion and spirit – not to mention skill.

The report from Belgium is that a Newcastle scout was at the Anderlecht game at the weekend (Gent won 2-0) to watch the 22-year-old 17 times capped Nigerian International (4 goals).

KAA Gent forward Moses Simon

Simon is keen to join the Premier League this summer and Gent are said to be willing to sell a player who will have just one year left on his contract.

He joined Gent four years ago from Slovakian club AS Trencín, and Simon’s played 127 games with 20 goals and 17 assists for the Belgian club.

He usually plays on the left wing but can play as a number 10 or as a striker, and he is very fast.

But the top target for a winger this summer has to be Kenedy.

If we can get him, we wouldn’t need Simon, and it’s also possible we can get Kenedy on a one year loan next season.

It may depend on how hard Kenedy pushes Chelsea to let him go.

The Brazilian seems to have it made for him at Newcastle.

He has regular playing time, loved by our fans and improving all the time under the expert guidance of Rafa Benitez, who Kenedy says is like a father to him.

As we said earlier, we will be linked with a (large) number of players this summer;  Moses Simon looks a decent player.

What do you think?

Another pacy winger to add meat to the bones of the team we have. I would take him. Don’t see him as a striker at all though. Every time I have seen him he has played on the wing, and he shifts.

No need to feel too sorry for Pardew. At the last count he has made over 13M !!! He has repeated failure down to an art form now where he is constantly picking up severance checks for serial disappointment. How can one man set a record of losing streaks in the histories of 4 different clubs and yet still continually find employment! Charlatan and fraud don’t even come close to describing the clubs he’s mugged off.

Rotunda, fair play to Pards though, the mugs are the owners and the chairmen who constantly employ him?

    WTF is wrong with them?

Hardly a fraud Rotonda , his record is there for
    all to see.
Micky is like me – unbelieving that clubs would
    employ him.
He must do a hell of a job interview
    😀

Rotund I used to try to balance out the pardew debate as felt he deserved huge credit for getting us to 5th . Me u and catchy used to have big rows 🙂 That said his losing runs were awful and he chose a shocking assistant in charva. And he was always supported by those irritating guys on sky who were rabidly pro british in terms of managerial love. But at least his teams were always a fret. Innit.
