Leicester 1 Newcastle 2 – Video Highlights

Newcastle continued their excellent form with their third win in a row at Leicester City this afternoon.

We went two up with excellent goals from Jonjo Shelvey (18 mins) and Ayoze Perez (75 mins).

James Vardy got a consolation goal with only four minutes to play.

Jonjo Shelvey – scores an excellent first goal for the Magpies

Here are the highlights of the 2-1 win by Newcastle at the King Power Stadium this afternoon that takes us into 10th place in the league and 3 points behind Everton with a game in hand – albeit at Tottenham.

A fantastic win from the Newcastle team today.

We are now 11 points above the drop zone with 6 games to play if you count goal difference as a point, and we’re 13 points better off than two years ago.

Say what you will, but Rafa is a GREAT manager! I can’t imagine any other top manager in the world getting these performances out of this group of players. Absolutely a master class he is conducting this year! Come on Amanda, get this club bought out and give Rafa the support he and the Toon army deserve!

Who liked the fact that mahrez avoided dummett second half lol!! Decided to come into the middle.

I liked kenedys effort again today in terms of going backwards in an away performance to a top 10 team. Good skill on him too and unlucky not to get on end of the return pass.

Betty, somebody with a sense of humour like yours is rather rich talking about “distasteful.”

Did you pay up that £100 you promised to charity yet? No? How distasteful I say.

Fair play Munster, mine’s a guiness please!

What I loved was the inquest Rafa was having with Dubravka at the end for Leicester’s goal, sheer professionalism.

Goals win games and Perez will claim credit for doing so.
And well done to him for that one, it was a quality finish.

But Jeez fella, learn to – a) stay on your feet and b) pass to players on your own team.
Baring 1 delightful piece of ball control and his goal, I dare say everything else he tried was absolutely dreadful.
So long as he keeps scoring or making assists, he’ll keep getting picked.
But he’s by far the most replaceable member of the team imo.

This From Friday , Online Guy . Was I close or was I close ? Missed the bookies.

Yedlin will hopefully put in a good shift v Leicester, Vardy out left cutting in is a handful for any defender.

We are a different team from early , mid season , strong team now, give any team in the Prem a hard game. Probably need 2 to win it . Not usually one for predictions but I’m optimistic and will say …

    …Leicester 1 v 2 Newcastle United .
