Rafa Benitez has just released team news and the starting Newcastle team to play Leicester City this afternoon.
And it’s not a big surprise that Rafa has again started an unchanged team against the former Premier League Champions.
TEAM NEWS: Here’s how Newcastle United will line up at @LCFC in the @premierleague this afternoon (kick-off 3pm BST).
Rafa Benítez has named the same side that defeated Huddersfield Town last Saturday. #NUFC pic.twitter.com/6j0ANLH2DH

Dwight Gayle – good chance for him to get back to his goalscoring ways
So Dwight Gayle and Ayoze Perez will get another chance to add to their goal tallies this season.
And it’s good to see Mikel Merino back on the bench this week as is the now fit Joselu.
A win would be unbelievable, and a draw would be a good result for us today.
There’s less anxiety today after two successive wins but Rafa will still push for the win.
Only one in three fans think we can get all 3 points today.

Comment #4Would be more than happy with a draw today if we can get it. Keep us ticking over.
This could go either way through and I expect it to be tight.

Comment #6Leicester’s line up looks like they are attempting to pack the midfield to negate Shelvey and Diame influence. Wonder how we cope with that.

Comment #10I still think the Newcastle goal of the season will be scored between now and the end of the season. There are not that many contenders at the moment— that’s probably a good thing though—the amount of shooting from outside the box under McClaren was just undisciplined. My money would be on Ritchie to score goal of the season with less pressure on the side for points.

Comment #11A good settled and confident side again, good to see. Leicester can be caught at their own game, Vardy drifts to the left looking to cut in every game, everyone knows he’s gonna do it but no one can ever stop his sheer pace, here’s hoping he has an off day today but Dummett could well nullify him in his current form anyway.
Looking forward to this game, if the backline stays as tight as it has been then I think we can keep a clean sheet today but whether we score or not is another thing. I have this down as a well earned nil nil and I’d be contented with that, safety assured now imo so I’d like to see the shackles off the lads but I don’t think Rafa will allow free flowing football until 40 points is achieved

Comment #13https://twitter.com/LCFC/status/982603910639566849 Lindis, I was just reading the Twitter comments if that is what you are referring too.
For a match link, try reddit just before kick-off. https://www.reddit.com/r/soccerstreams/comments/8ahlqd/1400_gmt_leicester_city_vs_newcastle_united/
If you cannot get a stable link, try ‘frontrowsports’. Frontrow quality isn’t the best, but it’s usually stable. Usually link3 or link4 on frontrow is a goer.

Comment #14I imagine Gayle and Perez’s movement will be a bit much for Morgan. I’m betting on us to win or draw. Odds are decent at evens. Fancy Man Utd to get a draw and West Brom and Watford to scrape wins.

Comment #15Good to see Mikel on the bench.
Could be interesting to see Kennedy and MM play together, at some time in the game.
Two future international number 10s, perhaps…

Comment #22I expect Leicester to break us down but a draw would be as huge as anything. I’m hoping we frustrate them to the point they show us their drawers late in the game and we yank them down lol.

Comment #23Never thought I’d say this ha ha but it will depend on Dummet playing to his recent form, Lejeune and Lascelles have to position themselves rather than push forward, their pace up front is too much for a lot of teams. I think it might hinge on whether Yedlin can be disciplined enough. We could do with less of him going forward and leaving holes behind him.

Comment #24Wonder if Claude Peul(?) is going for a 433 to try rattle us and get an early goal, the lads will need to be concentrating on their defensive work from the very start.

Comment #28All the makings of a 1 -1 draw- but I’ll stick my neck out – 2 -1 victory for the Toon.
Yedlin does not need to get caught out losing the ball way upfield – trying to be clever when out of position today and letting Vardy into empty spaces will be a hard lesson.
Kennedy and Gayle to score. Diame -needs to break up play with those lanky “Demba Ba” type extending legs.

Comment #29It would make sense to try and hammer down our midfield. They won’t want to get caught out by Diame and they will try and bundle in on shelvey so our break play is nullified. If Ritchie and Kenedy do their jobs it should stretch them wide and alleviate that.
