Newcastle are currently in 10th place, and we can rise to 8th place if we have an impressive set of results in our last six games.
We are 3 points behind 9th placed Everton with a game in hand and have yo play them at Goodison Park.
It will be more challenging to catch Leicester who are in 8th place and 5 points above us, but we did pick up 3 points on them last week with that great 2-1 win.
In the last six league games, we have taken 13 points.

If we can do that in our final six games, we will finish up with 51 points – and that would be only the second time in Ashley’s disastrous reign that we have surpassed 50 points in a Premier League season.
The other time was in 2012 when we finished 5th top on 65 points.
Rafa has reviewed the season so far in the Chronicle, and this is what he said:
“From the beginning the target was to stay up.” “Then we started well and won some games and people starting saying that we could achieve this or that.”
“But as soon as we had a bad run you could see the Premier League is so difficult.” “You need quality and experience.”
“We didn’t have those things.”
“What do we have now?” “A good position because everybody has worked so hard together that we now have a better team.”
“We have more experience now and we can win games in a different way.” “We have more confidence so it’s positive for us.”
“We weren’t amazing now nor were we a disaster before, we just have picked up some experience.” “I always say it’s a learning process.”
“We are playing with confidence and experience.”
“Yes, we will not win every game but at least we have performed well in games against those close to you and also Manchester United at home, one of the top sides.”
“It means we are getting better because we are playing with that confidence.”
It looks like we are safe and it could be an eventful final six games with Rafa obviously wanting to win every single one of them.
And we have realized that anything is possible with Rafa at Newcastle.
