Newcastle Fans Soon To Get Answers On Takeover And Other Big Questions

It’s a long time since the last Fans’ Forum meeting which was held last year on June 29th.

Lee Charnley will be at the meeting and hopefully will answer the fans’ questions in some detail with one of the significant items being how we are going to sign Rafa Benitez to a long-term deal to keep him on Tyneside for many years to come.

You never know – maybe the man himself will make a brief appearance.

Lee Charnley – happy because we’ll pick up about £125M next month from Premier League?

The other big question is whether Mike Ashley is still going to sell the club this summer and what is the status of potential buyers and who are they?

We doubt Lee will tell us who they are but maybe tell us whether Amanda Staveley is still interested in buying the club.

And the third big item – linked back to Rafa Benitez – is how much money will he be given this summer to spend.

Obviously, we don’t expect an actual figure but some idea of whether he will again be restricted in his spending like he was last summer; in retrospect, that was stupid and unacceptable.

But it should be an upbeat meeting next Wednesday night with Newcastle United doing so well this year.

Over our last 15 games, we have 7 wins, and only 3 defeats and 26 points.

Our future success is almost assured as long as we can keep Mr. Benitez at the club.

Howay The Lads!!

The fact that the Forum been largely paid lip service by the club suggests that the delegates’ll be given little or no meaningful insights on matters of concern. Being the model of club-fan relationships, questions the club don’t like’ll not be tables and those that are’ll receive ambiguous responses.

Delegates to the Forum really need to be more aggressive in their questioning and show they’re not prepared to be fobbed off by the club.

Hope that the next few months are not too difficult health wise for you and family. I’ve been there in the Ed boat so trust that you’re getting the best care. Good luck with your battles.

A couple of days after his emotional press conference where he broke down publicly at losing the captaincy, Smith was laughing and joking in a New York bar. Should hsve stayed out of the public eye because we are think he is a hypocrite.

The other 2 are dead losses. No value at all so wont be missed

Thanks mate. The treatment is inovative and not what I expected but certainly better than previousvoptions, so I am told.
