Hopes Fade Of Signing Top Player – Rafa Could Settle For A Loan Deal

Since Robert Kenedy came to Newcastle in January, he has been absolutely outstanding on the left wing for us, and he has helped transform Newcastle along with Martin Dubravka, who is on loan from Sparta Prague.

The two of them have helped in an amazing transformation this year, and we now have four wins in a row and 26 points from our last 15 games, and we are safe in the Premier League.

And Benitez is anxious to sign Kenedy on a permanent deal this summer, but he has admitted that may be difficult for Newcastle with some top clubs like Arsenal, PSG and Bayern Munich said to be interested in the player.

There are some advantages for Newcastle to sign the 22-year-old – he loves playing for Rafa, he seems to enjoy everything on Tyneside, Rafa knows his agent, and he is getting first team football at Newcastle.

And the fans love the lad.

He may not get all that at a bigger club, including if he goes back to Chelsea next season.

Kenedy – after scoring against the Saints

Rafa has said it may be easier to get him on loan for this season – although it was difficult enough to get him in on loan this season.

This is what Rafa has said today in the Mail after the latest interview in which Kenedy praises Rafa and Newcastle:

“I have seen the interview and what he said. I know his agent, so the point with him is that he’s doing well.”

“I am happy because we’ve been winning and he’s been scoring goals and that’s fantastic for us and really good news for him.”

“The situation is that Chelsea need to know where they will finish and we need to know where we will finish.”

“There is plenty of time to talk.”

“But if you’re asking me (if a loan is the best option), I’d say yes, you’d have to ask them as well.”

“It wasn’t easy to bring him here and it won’t be easy to bring him here again.”

“You can’t change that [interest from PSG, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich) if you want to win games and he is doing well, you have to play him.”

“If he is doing even better than fine, fair enough it will be more difficult for us for sure, but he is so happy at Newcastle – he will be keen to stay.”

If we cannot sign Kenedy permanently this summer, the next best option is to get him on loan for next season.

That would at least mean we can keep  Kenedy and Dubravka with Rafa able to sign the Slovakian goalkeeper this summer for 4M.

Then with say four new players brought in additionally this summer we could have a very good team for next season.

Sounds great to us!

I’m sure there will be a boost to tourism in mackemland with all those away fans coming to see what a stadium looks like. There won’t be many who have seen a ground with a capacity over 5,000 – or a roof.

If you’re living any closer than 20 miles from Newcastle, open your windows and listen, you can hear the sound of laughing above the birdsong and Even the traffic.

If we can’t get Kennedy on a permanent because Chelsea still want to keep him then I would 100% take him back on loan !

Would even take Slimani on loan again as well !

This is in theory could save on transfer fees for those two players that could be used to get a few more players in although if Ashley is in charge he might not see that logic!

See a few online websites are saying we are in for Josh King but Bournemouth are looking for 20 million !

Quite a few decent striking options may be available on cheaper deals or loans this season Paco Alcacer , Martial , Rashford , Lucas Perez could all be available so plenty of options for Rafa to consider ! Dreamland if we got any of those in mind you to play in our system

I think we have seen enough of Slimani in the short bursts he’s been playing to know that he has some innate skills we could well do with. I was sold when he knocked that ball down for Perez.

We have to remember Kenedy is Chelsea’s player and we need to remember Chelsea are not a charity. The loan deal has worked well for both clubs but it is more bitter sweet for us. I think Chelsea will want him back but if they don’t we can forget another loan deal, Kenedy will go to the highest bidder and Ashley won’t be competing with the likes of Arsenal,PSG or Byern. Chelsea may offer kenedy as a sweetener to land Lascelles if they want him, I think that could be the lesser of 2 evils because I think there will be a lot of interest for Shelvey and Lascelles in the transfer window and knowing Ashley’s lust for cash, he won’t hesitate in stuffing his pockets with transfer money. What ever the outcome with Kenedy , he deserves a great reception if he returns with another club because he has played a big part in our survival success in the PL this season.
