The good news from Lee Ryder is that his information is that Mike Ashley is keen to give Rafa a new deal this summer and he’s confident he can get that done.
Ryder is also reporting that Ashley will also give Rafa some significant funds this summer from the money Newcastle will get from the Premier League next month.
If we can take say 6 points from our last four games, we should finish 9th or 10th could receive around £125M by our estimate.
But once bitten twice shy and with Ashley looking to keep the club a significant portion of fans just don’t trust Ashley.
After all, he said he would give Rafa every last penny a year ago, and he didn’t.
But one thing is for sure we all love Rafa Benitez – just to put a positive spin on things.
This is what fans have been saying on Twitter about the news in the Chronicle – both positive and negative tweets are included.
Let’s not kid ourselves, all the bollox from Ashley’s yes men don’t wash it anymore, we ALL know he won’t give Rafa the funds he wants, he can state it live with his mates on Sky over & over again but he’s been proven to be a fat fuc*ing liar. If he stays, #nufc are fucked.

Defensively sound with both flair and goals added. Under Rafa, that side could challenge for a top six finish. Not a doubt in my mind. #NUFC

Lee Ryder reporting that Mike Ashley will offer Rafa a new contract and give him the green light to spend big.
Or, one gobshite reporting that another gobshite might offer Rafa a new contract and give him the green light to spend big.
Heard it all before.#NUFC

I don’t for one second believe the BS coming out that Ashley is giving Rafa money to spend in the summer. Seen & heard it all before & no doubt just a tactic to help grab a few more season ticket sales. Believe it when I see it #NUFC

I’ll say it again. I’m just enjoying Rafa while he’s here, every positive currently tinged with sadness thinking what could be, but won’t get a chance to be realised because of a stubborn, fat Cockney #NUFC

Huge Summer ahead.
80-100 million to spend seems fair.
No reason we shouldn’t see Rafa get that if he’s being given “every penny the club generates” like the Fat Slug said last Summer. #NUFC

Ryder posted the same garbage last year.
He broke the news that rafa had 100 million to spend and we would break our transfer record. Fast forward 12 months and as expected none of this happened #nufc

#nufc i personally think rafa will get backed ashley always seems to work with monet thats in bank in other words a year behind eg last summer he had champ money which was in bank PL money this season as itl be in the bank
— Dean Dodds (@doddsy1991) April 25, 2018
1. Mike Ashley won’t sell #NUFC
2. Rafa will still be manager next season too
Enjoy the rest of the season and stop getting side tracked
If any of those two don’t come true come start of the season then @ me til then chill and relax man, we’re safe
Exactly what we wanted

Seen some things this season.
Some new places.
Some new friends.
Same old Black and White family.
Plenty of laughs, celebrations, few choice words and a shit loads of miles on the clock all in the name of Rafa’s tricky Mags.
Let’s do it all over again next season #NUFC pic.twitter.com/DhBHM46QyY

Just doing your job, but time will tell if what you are reporting is accurate. For the sake of the Club I hope it is, because if we don’t spend it guarantees Rafa won’t sign a new deal and then who knows where we will end up. #NUFC
— Canadian Mag (@tynesidetalk) April 25, 2018
Ashley is only interested in how his ownership of NUFC effects his shop. He isn’t a football man by any means and doesn’t share one iota of the ambition Rafa does. Sad. #NUFC
— KidWithEye (@KidWithEye) April 25, 2018
Mark, this can only end one way. Rafa cannot be at #nufc long term. His ambitions are as far away from Ashley’s as Trumps politics are from Corbyns!
