Our Predicted Newcastle Team For Watford

Rafa Benitez did say he could make one or two changes to the Newcastle team for the game at Watford today.

And with Brighton beating Manchester United 1-0 at home last night they are now on 40 points just one point behind Newcastle.

It would be beneficial if Newcastle can win this game this afternoon as pressure mounts on our 10th place.

If Rafa is to make say two changes, then this could be the team he starts at Vicarage Road today.

Gayle Perez

Jonjo Shelvey had a mediocre game last time out when we were beaten 1-0 by West Brom.

So it’s possible Mikel Merino may get a start today.

Murphy looked good when he came on last Saturday, and he could get a rare start in place of Matt Ritchie on the right wing.

After the poor performance Rafa could make more changes than we expect today – depending on how players shaped up in training last week.

There were some reports yesterday that Rafa could bring in Sadio Haidara who will be released this summer when his contract runs out.

The last thing we need is a third defeat in a row today.

What would your team be for today?

Would love, Swansea, Southampton and Stoke to all lose, and West Brom to win.
