Predicted Team For Tottenham – Two Changes – Final Appearance For This Player

Quite honestly we’re not sure if Rafa will make many changes for tonight’s game at Wembley against Tottenham – maybe only two changes from the side that started at Watford on Saturday.

The players who have been playing in the last three defeats are the ones who have been so good this year in getting us to safety – so it’s difficult to know what the team will be.

We do think that Matt Ritchie will return on the right wing and Kenedy will play his final game tonight on loan in a black and white shirt.

He is not eligible to play in the final game on Sunday at home to his club Chelsea.

The experiment with Javier Manquillo at right-back didn’t work too well and we expect DeAndre Yedlin to start against his former club.

Robert Kenedy – final ever appearance in a black and white shirt?

We don’t have too much choice up front with Slimani banned for the rest of the season, so we expect Peres and Gayle will start.

There’s a report that newly relegated Stoke City want Gayle in the summer and no doubt they know all about his 23 goals in 34 appearances for us last season down below.

Dwight could bring in quite a high transfer fee – may be as much as £15M?

We also expect other ambitious Championship clubs to inquire about him this summer.

So back to the Newcastle side – this seems to be the strongest team Rafa can field tonight:

Yedlin Lascelles (c) Lejeune Dummett
Diame Shelvey
Ritchie Perez Kenedy

This game is at Wembley so it will be a unique game for our players – and we expect Rafa to try to keep it very tight for as long as possible and attempt to score on quick breakaways.

Our defense, in particular, cannot make mistakes with the class of player Tottenham have in their side.

It’s not beyond the realm of possibility we can get something out of this game tonight although only two fans in five think that will happen in our poll.

What do you think?

I don’t expect to be right about this lineup, but is one I would try:

    Yedlin Lascelles Lejeune Dummett
    Diame Shelvey
    Ritchie Merino Kenedy

Going to go all optimistic like: 1-2 with goals from Kenedy and a late one from Ayoze. HWTL!!!

I don’t see the beat down we gave Spurs the last time we played them this time of year just before we got relegated, I just hope that Rafa has a plan for Deli and Erikson, I know Diame will make both of them know early on that he is on the pitch, now for Kane, he is not at his best and to be honest I still think he has a little knock still. Jamaal please introduce yourself early to Harry, let him know with either a little whisper or gentlemanly 50/50 challenge that he is not getting an easy night. If Gayle starts I hope he takes an early volley and it hits the roof of the net, I really hope Kenedy scores tonight, he deserves it. Hold on, now if there is one player I would like to see score it would be Diame, now if he scores a rocket like he used to in the past then the roof would really come off. Shite, now I have us scoring 3 goals already, oh well hope that prediction comes to light.

Perez is better when in the striker role. He can be deadly

Can’t see it happening at all but wouldn’t it be “Boys Own” stuff if Yedlin scored.

Ritchie denied penalty but Leicester get soft one against Arsenal for 2-1

    Seems familiar
