Rafa Explains Why This Player Wanted By Some Big Clubs

When you have a world-class manager at the club, it’s a joy to watch how our players have improved under the guidance of Rafa Benitez.

Jamaal Lascelles, the captain, is one who continues to get better under Rafa and there’s a good working relationship between the manager and the captain.

One good reason for Jamaal’s improvement is that he wants to learn and become a better player.

Rafa Benitez congratulates Jamaal Lascelles

Here’s Rafa talking about his captain Jamaal Lascelles in the Chronicle and he is wanted by both Everton and Chelsea in the summer:

“I don’t know if it is Chelsea or any other one.”

“We are talking about a young English center-back.”

“And there are not too many English center-backs who are young, who can play in the Premier League.”

“So he has so many positive things and the main one thing for me is that he is keen to learn.”

“So he has a lot of potential so a lot of clubs will be interested.”

“Will they be able to sign him? I don’t think so.”

There’s just no way Rafa will part with one of his most important players this summer.

But it will be interesting to see what bids are made by the Blues and the Toffees for the captain.

If there is anyone who has any sway, can they persuade fans today to chant for “Barnes and Bishop Out!”?

At no point under Ashley’s control has Newcastle United been able to say the club is on the verge of realising its potential.
    Until now.

Under Rafa and with a core of great players such as Lascalles, Shelvey and Diame poised to become icons with the club and dominate the Premiership there is magic in the Air – if Ashley can only just see it. If he lifts the blinkers from his eyes and sets his people free the club can earn a place at the top six table.

SJP can be expanded, new dynamic players signed, a new Academy and Training facility can be created and the City itself which is earning a global recognition for excellence can maximise it’s potential highlighted by having a ” best club in the world” to showcase out talents.
Is Ashley a visionary or a street trader ? – his call, lets hope that his ego is not in the way of being man enough to say – I have a dream.

On the eve of the Sir Bobby Robson film what better time than now …
