It appears that Newcastle scouts have been regularly watching Andrej Kramaric of Hoffenheim this season and the Croatian striker could be a top target of Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez this summer.
Newcastle need a couple of good strikers brought in and the 29 times capped Croatian International (8 goals) would seem to be an excellent signing for Newcastle.
The 26-year-old was signed by Leicester City in 2015, but in two seasons in the Premier League, he played only 15 times with 4 goals.
He went on loan to Hoffenheim in January 2016, and he’s done really well in the Bundesliga and signed a four-year deal back in May 2016.
Since then he’s played 93 times for the German club with 36 goals and 21 assists, and that’s a good record.

This season he played 42 games in all competitions and scored 13 goals with 9 assists for the German club.
The Chronicle have reported that Newcastle’s Head of Recruitment Steve Nickson has been watching Hoffenheim and Andrej Kramaric this season with Rafa likely making a bid this summer.
Hoffenheim have surprisingly qualified for the Champions League by finishing 3rd in the league so the Bundesliga club will not want to lose their best players this summer.
Kramaric also seems to be enjoying his football in Germany, and it may prove difficult for him to leave and join Newcastle.
But Rafa can be very persuasive with those targets he has lined up during transfer windows – we know that.
And this summer’s window is a critical one for both Rafa and Newcastle United.
