German newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost is reporting that Josha Vagnoman has received what is called ‘a concrete offer’ to join Newcastle United this summer.
The 17-year-old has been tracked recently by a number of top clubs in the Premier League including Manchester City, Arsenal, Newcastle, and Chelsea.
The teenager moved to Hamburg from HSV back in 2010 when he was 9 years old, and he sees his future at Hamburg despite some offers starting to come in from some top English clubs – like Newcastle.
🙂
Josha Vagnoman has received a concrete offer to join Newcastle this summer.
Here’s is a piece taken directly from the Hamburger Morgenpost report:
“Newcastle United made a concrete offer, the English club have offered to pay him €5.3M euros for three years.”
“But Vagnoman trusts coach Titz and prefers to play in the second division instead of the Premier League.”
“He trusts to develop under Christian Titz and to take the next development step.”
So it doesn’t look like the teenager is keen to leave Hamburg.
Vagnoman is one of the best young players in Germany, and he’s the type of player Rafa, and the scouts at Newcastle are looking for.
He will not be cheap, but when Newcastle sign them as young players, they are a lot less expensive than they will be in three or four years time – assuming they develop as expected.
It’s ironic the youngster says he wants to develop under 47-year-old coach Christian Titz in Germany when Rafa is one of the world’s best managers in bringing out the very best in younger players.
It’s also something Rafa loves to do.
The youngster has been capped at Germany U17, and U18 level and great things are expected from the defender although he has yet to break into the Hamburg side having made one appearance so far.
It’s good news we are going after some top teenagers this summer and making bids for them.
Comments welcome.

Comment #82Bobby…is that where I was trying to stir the shyte yesterday between you and Lesh. And you Told me there was, no beef and explained it was humour, but no, I knew better and could read between the lines.
Then Lesh came on and put me right. A man might have apologised you say, but hey, no need to add to it really. Worra whopper.
Is that about it?

Comment #88Rob, like talking to oneself? 🙂 Nobody’s listening after all. It’s actually becoming quite sad. Embarrassing in fact. Now it’s my fault what Jib said! 🙂 Or maybe I’m jib in his head – who knows what goes on in there. 🙂

Comment #89Sounds like the Villa CEO was suspended when he complained to the owner about the unpaid tax bill. Seems like Tony Xia is struggling to bring money out of China to pay it and there’s no guarantee of him managing it by the HMRC deadline. There were people on here earlier this year desperate for a takeover from a Chinese consortium. That could have been us…

Comment #92Bill, I’m surprised Bradley Sack signed that, unless it was just to ensure Blackburn get a decent fee for him. He’s too good for that level imo too. Still, if Arma goes back there it can only help his cause. They work well together. If they can keep Dack and Arma together they’ll greatly improve their chances of pushing on. They need to improve the playing staff now they’re in the Championship, I hope they can attract some decent players. There’s some really good teams in that league.
If they end up struggling it won’t help either Arma or Dack.
I’m surprised nobody made an early offer for Dack, but like I say, it might be an insurance policy to ensure when he goes, they get a decent fee.

Comment #98Jesper……..You seem to be getting yer knickers in a right twist the neet man.
I remember when you cricicised Jamie Sterry with our ever having seen him play. It took long enough to put that one to bed so I can’t see the point of you having a go at Arma without seeing him play either. Just let things go , it’s not worth the hassle.

But why do you need to come between Bobby and I? Regardless of how you feel you can understand why no one really likes a rant like Bobby’s just because he’s special Bobby…
I fine to feel wronged and no one should have to go though what Bobby described…which is the main issue here 😉

Comment #102Has, he not Rob? I thought someone said he had, that’s all. Still, it would be good if he did. Then if someone does want him, they help fund Blackburn’s transfer drive. They need better players in now they’ve been promoted. Their fans have suffered like ours have because of a dodgy owner. Ditto Coventry. Not to mention Sunlun, but nobody cares about them! 🙂

Comment #108Potts, I actually mentioned this last week or the week before. We gambled on promotion and I said we might see what could’ve happened to us reflected in what happens to Villa, who gambled twice and lost.
As you rightly point out, they could end up doing a Leeds at this rate.
Weird innit? Both Sunlun and Villa took great pleasure in seeing us relegated. Made a right issue of it, with flags and flyby’s and couldn’t mock us enough. Karma truly is a wonderful thing. 🙂

Comment #117On Arma, it’s tough to see Rafa seriously considering going with him next term, in a genuine tilt at top 8. Perez and Arma as his second strikers? Doesn’t seem likely. He’ll more likely bring in someone to push or usurp Perez and send Arma back to Blackburn or somewhere else on loan. If he is sold, while a current England under 21 international and while still improving and with two years left on his contract, it’s more likely to be because the player wants the switch rather than the club does. He will get pre season though to stake a claim.
Jail for Ashley
Jun 5, 2018 at 9:55 PM
Comment #118In my humble opinion Arma has to stay at Blackburn and prove himself in the Championship. Even if Blackburn struggle he should still put away his chance, Abrahams scored a shed load in a nearly relegated Bristol team. It’s easy to say Arms would score more in a better team but you have to earn the right to play in a better team.
