It could be tough for Newcastle to get Robert Kenedy back for next season – either on loan for the season or on a permanent deal – which fans would prefer.
But if we cannot get him then Rafa wants to bring in at least one winger, and Newcastle have also been linked with Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore, but he would cost around £15M by all accounts.
A player who has impressed Rafa in the Championship is Nottingham Forest winger Ben Osborn who Newcastle scouts have been keeping tabs on for two years now.
The Derby-born 23-year-old has been at Nottingham Forest since he 8 years old, and he’s come through their Youth Academy.

Osborn has youth caps at England U18, U19, and U20 levels and could be a reasonable buy for Newcastle if Rafa rates the player.
He’s played 186 times for Forest with 14 goals and 25 assists since making his debut back in March 2014 in the Championship at Ipswich Town as a 19-year-old.
He is left-footed and can also play in several different positions and is quite versatile.
The Chronicle is reporting that Osborn will probably be a secondary target if we cannot get Kenedy in or we can’t get a decent deal for Adama Traore.
Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka is looking at bringing in new players this summer and could be willing to sell Osborn, so he has money to bring in some targets.
Last season Osborn played 51 games for Nottingham Forest with 4 goals and 6 assists.
He would be a decent player for a reasonable fee – but again he’s not top of the list.
