Newcastle’s New Away Strip Has Links To An Exciting Past

It was in late April that Newcastle’s alleged new away strip for next season was leaked by footyheadlines.com for the first time to the Internet and it looked terrific.

It’s very similar to an away strip used by Kevin Keegan’s Entertainers in the 1990s and will bring back memories of those great times – when we won a lot of games.

Here’s a shot in the Chronicle today of Les Ferdinand and David Ginola from the 1990s – when Adidas was the shirt sponsor – and it seems like Ginola has just scored.

And here’s a strip that recently put out by GallowgateShots on their Twitter account which looks exactly the same as the one leaked in late April – yes – it could be happening.

So it does look like this will be the new away strip.

Newcastle are expected to reveal the new strips early next month and also announce the new shirt-sleeve sponsors.

And we hope we can get a good deal from some company to increase our commercial revenues on the sleeves of the new shirts.

But it’s a lovely looking away strip with links to an exciting past.

Maybe that means we’ll have an exciting future ahead too under Mr. Rafa Benitez?

Hope so – but it’s got to come quickly for some of us old-timers!

🙂

I understand interest has been expressed in Ritchie to #nufc by at least 3 clubs. Hasn’t progressed further than that yet – but a decent bid will give Newcastle something to consider given their limited kitty.

Hope that’s not the big announcement we’ve all been waiting for!

Everyone is saying Germany were poor last night, dunno if I was watching a different game but the only bad thing about them was their poor finishing.

They were all over South Korea other than that.

    Still enjoying the Schadenfreude though.

As for England trying not to win, very bad move if that was the case imo, teams should always be trying to win.
