Newcastle Can Sign This Target For Half The Price Of Mitrovic

Newcastle will try to get £20M for Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer.

And that should be possible with the player having had a decent enough World Cup for Serbia, although they couldn’t progress to the knock-out rounds.

But that £20M could look to be a reasonable fee if Newcastle can bring in Liverpool striker Danny Ings for Mitrovic for only £9M from Liverpool.

That’s the fee being touted for the 25-year-old striker.

Rafa has been interested in the player for some time now, and he would be worth £9M to Newcastle.

He’s the type of player Rafa likes to have in the team – he’s keen, ambitious, works hard in training and wants to improve as a player.

25-year-old Danny Ings – could be an excellent signing for Newcastle

Liverpool will reluctantly let him leave this summer since the former Burnley and Bournemouth striker is keen to play more first-team football and he can do that at Newcastle.

We are hoping the club have already made a move for him, but Newcastle are notorious for moving at a snail’s pace for their transfer targets.

The club just don’t use enough initiative or urgency in their transfer dealings, and that’s an area that needs massive improvement if Rafa is to stay at the club after next summer.

Ings would be a popular signing, and for £9M in today’s crazy transfer market, he could be a bargain buy and less than half the price we are asking for Mitrovic.

Crystal Palace and his former club Burnley are also interested in signing the player.

Comments welcome.

Sadly, we both also managed to mangle the spelling of his name. It’s a tough one that…

and in answer to your question, yes. I expect others will join in once they’ve got over the hangovers from celebrating the magnificent defeat last night, all went to plan I reckon.

Get Sturaro, Townsend or Kenedy and Ings plus that Columbia’s guy Jib was on about and I’m happy. Get rid of Mitro, Joselu, and reluctantly Ritchie and I’m ok and confident we will be top 8 next year! Simples!

wynsleap from previous. Your suggestions are sensible, which means Ashley will never agree to them

    😉

We need to get more creative. Sell JonJo, take on a 17 year old from the Moldovan 3rd Division to replace him. That works for wor Lord and Master

He may be half the price, but he’s also half the player with a poorer injury record , – you only get what you pay for in this day and age, take Joselu (somebody / anybody please) for example.

Correct me if I’m wrong (love to see evidence to the contrary) but isn’t he a massive “constantly injured” risk ?
