Newcastle’s Italian midfield target Stefano Sturaro has been told he can leave Turin this summer and it appears that Newcastle are trying to get the deal done and he could be our third signing of the summer.
The two other Premier League clubs interested in the player – West Ham and Leicester City – may have missed out on the Italian International.
The news last week was that Sturaro wanted to join Rafa Benitez at Newcastle and he had already turned down big offers from China and was said to be “waiting for Newcastle.”
According to talkSPORT that wait may be over soon.
Newcastle’s midfield target Stefano Sturaro – getting close?
Newcastle have already offered €11.4 M for him, and Juventus want as much as €18M since they need money to fund new players coming in this summer.
It looks like the two clubs are getting close to reaching a compromise fee with Stefano keen to get the deal done.
That’s true for Newcastle also with Rafa now back on Tyneside.
The Newcastle manager would love to get another signing completed before preseason starts on Monday.
Newcastle are reported to be deep in talks at the moment with Juventus officials.
Newcastle signed free agent Ki Sun-yueng yesterday with Ki also anxious to join the Magpies under Rafa Benitez.
