Agent Of Transfer Target – Newcastle Are Interested – But Other Clubs Too

TOTTOmercatoWEb are reporting news on Newcastle target Stefano Sturaro.

It’s not all new news – the central midfielder has rejected all offers from China but there are quotes from his agent Carlo Volpi who is speaking out about his player.

The new news is that Spanish clubs seem to have withdrawn their interest in Sturaro because of financial difficulties and while Newcastle are mentioned – so are Southampton and Wolverhampton.

25-year-old target Stefano Sturaro – Newcastle in the lead?

Here’s some of what Volpi has said when asked about which club Sturaro will be going to this summer:

“All offers from China have been refused because of the young age of the player.”

“And the Spanish offers have also faded due to the lack of economic strength, leaving England the first choice for Stefano.”

“Not just Newcastle are interested in him, but other clubs as well.”

“Ah, you know, for sure, Wolverhampton and Southampton have had a little thought (interest).”

It has been reported previously that Rafa is keen to bring the Italian International to the Premier League and that Newcastle United are leading the race to sign him.

Stefano is also said to be keen to join Rafa on Tyneside.

There’s a possibility this transfer can close soon – maybe even this week – we certainly hope so.

Comments welcome.

Think that is perfect description.Watched him last night for the first time and didn’t see how he’s better than Joselu.

If Wolves are interested in this guy, we can forget it. They’re a newly promoted club which is awash with cash having benefitted from the substantial prize money awarded by the Championship and can thus afford to splash out.

Newcastle United have only had the benefit of a better than expected season in the Prem and its associated prize and broadcasting windfalls and are priced out of buying relatively good players.

The football authorities really need to act to level the financial playing fields.

You’re suggesting that female commentators don’t know what they’re talking about? Substitute the worst of them for Jib and you’ll soon change your tune.

Wow an agent telling the press that everyone is interested in this guy, it must be so, so true. On another note, Southampton left out of there touring squad this player Sofiane Boufal, If memory serves me which I am not 100% sure it will there was a rumor that Newcastle ay be interested in this player. With him being left out of the squad maybe there is some grounds for this player being pursued by Newcastle.

Regarding Jorgenson: History does show signing or not signing a player off the back of a world cup performance is rarely wise so Im not letting his performances sway me, ive seen him look bad for denmark and ive seen him look stellar for Feyenoord.. what would concern me is that Denmark are a very very similar set up to Newcastle. They play 4-2-3-1, they have 1 wizard at passing, wingers that cut in etc, they usually have less of the ball than their opponents and are based around hard work, tight defence etc.. in this system Jorgensen has looked poor and laboured.
At feyenoord, they play multiple formations but tend to be the strongest side in 75% of their fixtures, dictate play, dominate possession and attack freely. This is the system jorgensen looks better in. Reminds me a lot of Mitrovic at Newcastle vs Mitrovic at Fulham

On the matter of commentators my surgeon after an ear operation explained that it’s all about pitch and that it could be that I wouldn’t hear my missus as clearly as I used to because my range of hearing had been compromised. She’s said for years that I’ve never listened so nothing new there.
However as an example how would you like Sarah Miillican commentating on a match with her high pitch ? Probably we need to turn up the Bass and turn down the Treble then sorted.
