This Is What Sets Rafa Benitez Apart From Other Premier League Managers

Igor Biscan is a former Croatian International midfielder/defender who was at Liverpool for five years from 2000.

And in 2005, the year he left Liverpool for Panathinaikos he was an unused substitute against AC Milan in the Champions League final, but still received a winner’s medal.

That game was the Miracle in Istanbul when the Reds were 3-0 down at halftime but won the game on penalties after the game ended 3-3 after extra time.

And to think that was Rafa’s first season as manager of Liverpool.

Biscan will know all about Rafa’s methods from the Spaniard’s first season on Merseyside and he has been talking about Rafa to BetStars leading up to tonight’s England vs Croatia game in the World Cup semi-final.

Igor Biscan – in his playing days at Liverpool

This is some of what he has said:

“It’s a very tough competition in the Premier League and you have to be at the top of your game week-in-week-out in order to be successful in this league.”

“If anyone can get Newcastle to a top six finish it would be Rafa Benitez – but it will take time.”

“Winning any kind of trophy next season will be really difficult as the level of competition is so high.”

“Rafa’s priority will be staying in the league first and foremost.”

“Everyone knows Rafa is a great manager.” “His attention to detail sets him apart from a lot of managers in the Premier League.”

“He also prepares his teams like no other manager.”

“His training sessions are always well organized and he always makes sure that every player knows their role inside out.”

“I have great memories of Rafa from that 2004-2005 season. It was an unbelievable achievement to win the Champions League and a lot of credit has to go to Rafa for that.”

It will be a little easier for Rafa this season in that a lot of the players have now had one or two years under his control – so they will know exactly what Rafa wants from them.

We are still waiting for Kenedy to be announced a loan signing and if we can get another three or four good players through the door this summer we could have a very good season coming up.

Oh no! Yet another former player of Sr. Benitez who can’t speak highly enough of him! Where is this elusive cold fish with no hands on appeal we’ve heard about in one money-spinning biography? 😀

Moonraker – I was addressing Munster and Yes it was sarcasm.

Easy there on us old people Jesper! Btw why are you using words like “lulz” when you know old folk, who are slow and dangerous behind the wheel as you know, don’t understand such cool hip zany sayings as you hep-cat daddy-o’s do?

Us older people have a gay time doing things like playing skittles, rolling hoops and having faggots for dinner and are not wicked at all thank you very much!
