In Case You Haven’t Seen This – It’s Called Class

Here a nice video of a shot from Kenedy yesterday in Ireland – in case you haven’t seen it – and it shows the talent and class of this young lad.

Rafa says he wants more goals from Kenedy next season and the young Brazilian seems to have taken that to heart.

Look at how the goalkeeper looks at Kenedy after the shot and seems to be thinking – you gotta be kidding me!

It reminds me of a goal I scored in Harbottle Park way back when I was 10 years old – very much like Kenedy’s shot in the video below – but I think mine went between the coats with just a little bit more speed.

That’s what I remember anyway.

Someone posted this yesterday. Read some of the comments on twitter and someone was cheeky enough to say it was down to keeper positioning lol.

Ed – I’ve checked with the officials at Harbottle Park and asked them to refer your claim to VAR
Good news is the goal stands

Can’t blame Hayden really if it is was family reasons. He had issues with his child when born so it would make sense he needs to be closer. It’s more easier to do that than uproot his partner and child who might already have a support network in place. He was great for us in the championship, struggled a little in the premiership but he still was getting to grips to the league. Think he can establish himself in this league eventually just not with us. Good character and did lots of voluntary work around the area. Brighton would be a great move for him and for a reported £10m, good bye and good luck!

Isaac Hayden is not in Ireland with his Newcastle team-mates. He’s wanted by Brighton, who tried to sign him two years ago.

Ask him to throw you a few names so we can judge the ilk of players he’s looking at
Also realistically how much money will we spend this summer?

    Also re Hayden –

he seems a great guy what with his foodbank and foundation work etc but in terms of football he hasn’t really progressed since we signed him. I would be ecstatic if we got 10 million for him – that can go in the striker pot, while it would also free up wages.

Perhaps this means shifting Saivet is less of a priority, as he could always stay as our 4th choice midfielder until his contract expires (is that summer 2019? Or 2020?)

A few people have mentioned Longstaff – I know very little about the youth squad but heard he was decent when at Blackpool. What kind of player is he? Is he more of a number 10 or a holding midfielder? More pogba-esque or modric-esque or Isco-esque? And is he ready for the first team? Rafa seems to rate him if he’s in Ireland with the first teamers and I hope he gets his chance. It’s about time another Geordie broke into the team – dummett has been our only product still at the club for years

    FFS Munster!

I expect reports of “Rafa leaves Newcastle after bust up with an angry nufc supporter”

Apparently the ruckus started after said fan accused Rafa of being a has been, questioned his player purchases, substitutions and said there’d be riots at any other club if they were stupid enough to appoint him!

The fan hasn’t been named for obvious reasons but witnesses at the scene heard the nickname “CnutyMcCnutFace” as well as screams of “please don’t” “your embarrassing yourself” but are unsure who said it. Vicious rumours are now swirling around that it was the instigators children.

I think its a bad mistake if we get townsend. What does it tell the players who stayed to bring us back up and showed loyalty when townsend left first thing. If townsend cared then he could have maybe just left on loan and wait for us to come back up but didnt even do that.

    ………..n England.

Perennial bottlers and this World Cup doesn’t change that.

Set-pieces, pens and poor opposition covered up another average showing. Two decent teams we played we lost against. Don;t get the hype.

Only good part was finally winning on pens.

Kane better than Shearer? My arse he is! If he wins the Golden Boot it;ll be one of the most undeserving ever, 3 pens, 2 tap-ins and a total fluke. Any chance he did get from open play he fluffed.

See all of these players that we are getting rid of to bring the wage bill down is the expectation that we will bring replacement players in on more or less wages?

As say getting rid of Colback what is 40k a week going to get you now in a player ?

good to see dier.and delph fix our lack of imagination in midfield. now we just need a midfielder who can tackle and one who can dribble. what happened to barkley anyway? hes semi decent with the ball. and winks,.i remember seeing him do a forward pass once.
