Fans Give Mixed Reviews On Yoshinori Muto Signing

There are mixed reviews from Newcastle fans on the signing of  25 times capped Japanese International Yoshinori Muto.

The deal will be made official once he gets a work pass next week – terms have been agreed, a transfer price of  £9.5M has been agreed and he’s passed his medical.

He’s certainly not a big name although he had a decent three years in the Bundesliga with Mainz, which is not unlike the Premier League.

But he’s not the prolific goalscorer we want to see signed this summer.

However under Rafa’s guidance, this lad could become a very good player and he certainly has the skills, the speed and the will to be a big success on Tyneside.

We are hoping that Rafa is able to keep Dwight Gayle for next season because we have an inkling Dwight could start to score some goals for us in the Premier League.

We don’t like the idea of a swap between Gayle and Rondon.

Here are some of the tweets about our new 26-year-old striker.

Let’s try to stay positive – as hard as it is with Ashley as the owner.
