Fans Have Their Say On New Signing Yoshinori Muto – Generally Positive

Newcastle announced the signing of Yoshinori Muto today and although we knew he was coming and just needed a work permit – it has helped to lift the mood a little among Newcastle supporters.

That follows last night when Rafa seems to be down about the transfer market, and he’s not getting much help from the owner and yes – that could turn out to be disastrous.

But on the positive side of things  – we have now signed what are five good players – Martin Dubravka (£4M), Kenedy (loan), Ki Sung-yueng (free agent), Fabian Schar (£3M) and now Yoshinori Muto (£9M) for a total outlay of about £16M.

They look good players so maybe things are not as bad as they look right now – as long as we can get four or five more players in during the last week of this transfer window.

The reaction of getting Yoshinori Muto is generally a positive one from the fans.

He is the first Japanese player ever to join the club and we now have two Asians in the first team squad, including the very experienced Ki Sung-yueng.

We want to welcome Motu to the club – very glad he’s here.

“Mut? will not be available to make his debut for Newcastle against FC Augsburg on Saturday while he completes the formalities of the visa process.”

Not suggesting anything sinister, but why is the process still not completed?

If Rafa is after the two kids from France then could there be a surprise and he is in it for the long haul and going to tough it out with the fat controller?

I’ll pass comment on Muto until he has a few games for us under his belt. Only problem is we need size and power in our team.

they both seem like raw potential. a lot of pace and probably not much else. bryan would be a far better signing imo. we have no idea this guy will develop. i’d take the striker at 4m though. even if he turns out to be the next divock origi and never fulfills the early promise then we can probably still sell him for 20m

I’ve never seen Maolida play and so reserve judgement. But if Rafa wanted him in January then he must think he has something. And looking at the YouTube clips – which I do with caution – he does look a real prospect and he has genuine pace. But….can’t judge until we actually see him.

Hopes high for Muto that he has the pace and positional sense to be able to take a pass facing the opponents goal. In Braga, everyone was coming back and turned upfield like the Queen Mary or passed the ball like a slow pitch softball game. Most of the NUFC squad had no idea whether to pass the ball next or try to dribble with it.

Ron Knee – Maybe because the fat cockney shopkeeper is so tight, he’d rather keep an extra week of Muto’s wages by holding back paperwork until the last possible minute.

Should be no problem getting the 180m transfer fees off Ashley shire as he’s always backed the club. But the agents fees on top he won’t meet.

Other fans from the premiership must be thinking here we go again with nufc but in reality we have caused all this ourselves by watch ashley grow in strength and power we knew years ago what was coming but us the fans sitting on our plastic seats watching shit football at times then doing something about it then so yes we one and all caused this to happen.

good luck finding that post where i didn’t say those thing about Kenedy.

My view points have never changed.

1 i don’t like the way Rafa manages, I don’t think he gave some players a chance, whilst others got chance after chance and never produced anything.

I don’t rate Lascelles, he is light years behind Harry mag, and Stones. mind you i do think he is better than Phil jones.

If true, Rafa isn’t signing his contract and could walk very soon, I actually think that’s a disgraceful thing to do or suggest, at the start of a season. what money that has been available so far, he spent, and would give the new guy a head ache if he didn’t like any of the players.
and let’s face it, Joselu and Murphy are not good enough and to be honest nor is manquillio and a few others he bought but dosnt play.

Personally I would be very happy with S’Soki, Maolida and Julien. French football is on the rise again. 19/20 isn’t too young these days. I think they all have great potential and is probably the only thing I agree with Ashley on, ie bringing in young potential under a great manager, rather than been forced to bring in aging has been / never really wassers like Rondon and Joselu.

Your saying Rafa delibratley lost the game last night.

And you say Rafa got form doing this sort of thing at other clubs ?

No Support from you then against Mike Ashley ?

Your clearly from the Ashley camp ..one of his lackeys.

Of course you are trying to deflect what really is going on with your attempt at manipulating the easily led on the blog, well there isn’t many who are easily led here and they see right through you now Jib with your statements pro Ashley early doors.

Trying to deflect and take the impressionable down the road to thinking Rafa delibratly lost the game last night is inescapable..and Rafa got form in this sort of thing has he Jib ?

Talk about skewing public comment and debate.

Your an Ashley Plant Jib ..and you can tell Jane the same goes for her. …. Vinegar Tits.

Just a thought from outside the Newcastle area from one of the lifelong ‘plastic fans’ whom a ST is not really an option because of geographical location and work commitments but still live and breathe Newcastle.
Currently living in London…..Many SD stores down here, Many many toon fans down here, most of the papers/media based in London.

Where better to attract media attention than the capital, granted majority of fan based is north east but I think to get most attention from the masses you go where most people are, word of mouth travels people stop to see what’s going on take picture post to social media etc etc,
it soon circulated around and I think would gain a lot of attention quickly if something was organised by one of the leading groups.
Just my two pence worth, good idea/bad idea??

don’t worry ?, i’m not here for long. i just pop in to make sure your tiny bubble hasn’t popped.

I do wonder if you ever get sick of this tiny echo chamber though.

pick a side, you cannot support only parts of the club and expect the parts you don’t like to change, especially if the parts you don’t like have all the control.

by supporting just Rafa and the team your ipsofacto supporting Ashley. He knows it.

OMG i nearly burst your perfect bubble

    Sorry

Andy Dunn at the mirror trashing Rafa.

    My response

    – – – – – – – – – – – –

Is the author a tame Ashley hack? Certainly seems like a plant. That typical and totally unbalanced, anti Rafa bias and stance has long been sussed by NUFC fans and is something that could have come straight out of a Bishop inspired and crafted ”shift the blame” tactic, completely masking the reality of 11 years of misery under Ashley’s ownership.

Ashley llegedly wants to sell so won’t invest, but if anyone offers him his price he moves the goalposts and still asks more. Liverpool’s keeper costs 57M, NUFC’s 4M. Where has all the TV money, player sales and gate money for 52000 home fans all gone? All NUFC fans want is a fit and proper owner who is accountable.
