Newcastle Put In £10M Bid For French Defender

Reports from France suggest that Newcastle have bid €7M (just over £6.2M) with €4M (£3.6M) potential add-ons for PSG 19-year-old left-back Stanley N’Soki.

The France U20 player has been linked in reports with a potential move to Newcastle over the last 48 hours.

This report today is from Yahoo Sports France reporter Manu Lonjon via his Twitter account:

The total deal would be for €11M which is about £9.8M.

That says:

New offer last night from Newcastle for Stanley Nsoki (PSG). 7M + bonus up to 4M!

N’Soki has on played only one competitive game for PSG but he has been playing for the first team during pre-season.

That seems a very good first offer from Newcastle and if we can get him in he will be an excellent signing for us and push Paul Dummett for the starting position at left-back.

And Mike Ashley will like the fact he’s only 19-years -old and has great potential especially under the coaching of Rafa Benitez.

The player joined PSG four years ago from US Roissy-en-Brie and has come through the PSG Youth System; he has 12 youth caps at various levels.

If Rafa can sign some younger players with potential in the next week that could be a good solution to our lack of depth in the squad.

The manager still wants four or five players signed and the news earlier today was that Newcastle were back in for Salomon Rondon as a loan deal – with Dwight Gayle going the other way.

Rafa still wants to sell four or five players before the window closes next Thursday evening.

Comments welcome.

If Dwight Gayle doesn’t want to go to WBA does he have to if clubs agree a deal or has his head been turned by the money they might offer him ? Less than Rondon but more than at NUFC ?

Would have expected him to be in the squad at least for today

Last season they couldn’t wait to get out of the ground. This season they won’t let them back in .

Angry Sunderland fans were left stuck outside the Stadium of Light after technical problems caused a nightmare at turnstiles before the Black Cats’ first game of the season against Charlton Athletic.
Sunderland AFC tweeted before the game apologising for glitches with the entry system, and asking fans to bear with them.

Mind they’ve sold 22,000 season tickets which isn’t bad going in the circumstances.

I am probably a bit sceptical, but does anyone really believe we a bid £10M for this kid but we didn’t want to bid £6M for that British LB

Maybe the turnstiles couldn’t cope with fans actually turning up
