How Newcastle Stand On Incoming And Outgoing Transfers – It’s All So Sad

With just two days left in this summer’s transfer window, Newcastle are currently £26M in profit.

Rafa has brought in £42.5M in outgoing transfer fees.

But he has not been allowed to spend anywhere near that amount – if he had, we would have broken even, and Mike wouldn’t have spent a penny of the club’s money in net terms.

The owner has allowed a gross spend of only £16.5M, not counting loan fees and agents’ fees.

If this is the way Mike Ashley will run the club, so he doesn’t even allow a net spend during transfer windows, then Rafa will almost certainly leave the club next summer.

And who can blame him?

It’s all so sad for the supporters.

he’s not allowed to spend it coz its coming in installments, and we pay ours upfront, which is just a baffling policy. doesn’t mean money isn’t there from the £123m tv money last season.

I’d say, it being Tuesday PM, that Charnly can roll out the standard “We tried, but it was too late in the window.” excuse. “We will look in January if prices are not too high.”

    As im forever an optimist….
The reason money is not being spent is because of a takeover. It will happen in the coming months all ready for January…you really think Rafa would still be here otherwise?
The players he’s signed have been to strengthen the squad, the quality will be added in Januray. Mike’s not spending so he will accept a lower offer with no clauses. Have faith

Ronny will most likely be our last signing of the window. The final day for us is usually about crossing your fingers and hoping your best players atent sold, rather than following snippets of ‘live info about who’s heading our way.
That is what the fat cockney shopkeeper has given us, zero expectations of positivity and a huge amount of anxiety.
Oh for a Russian billionaire making this Cashley’s final window as our owner.

exactly this is now the clarion call ” WHERE’S THE MONEY GONE?”

That piece of fiction that Ashley wrote that was so obviously penned by Bishop is quite nauseating. Just lie, after lie, after lie.

It’s ludicrous to find ourselves in such a dire postion with days before the season starts. The undermining of our over qualified manager and constent penny pinching from our delusional and greedy owner is disgusting! I am as 95% of us are so sick and fed up of this clown trying to run the club as a business, instead of a football club and slowly running it into the ground. Something needs to be done, but what can we do really!?

It certainly is sad as Ed puts it and extremely disrespectful for everyone who loves the club and yearns for it’s success.

Rafa will undoubtably leave at the end of the season and then we will really be knee deep in the shite with this baffoon as an owner and yet another puppet manager. I fail to envision any other outcome as Rafa would be mad to stay under these strict and unheard of conditions.

Sorry for the depressing post but it really is hard not to be depressed following this club under Ashley.

Ashley do everyone a favour and F**k Off!!

I was just typing that @4. The only way to get Ashley gone is to only buy match day tickets – no shirts or other merchandise – the club don’t get it anyway so its not harming us. Fans need to Go to the matches and chant anti-sports direct chants or “team, team not the Regime”. When profits tumble for SD then he’ll change his tune.

If there is a god out there please let Mr Usmanov and Mike Ashley meet each other so that deal could be done to buy nufc off him what a club nufc could be with an owner like Usmanov who has just sold his stake in Arsenal.

@Alems1983 – love the idea mate but can’t help but think it’s pie-in-the-sky dreaming. There’s no one out there willing to pay what Ashley wants. Would love you to be right though. Surely the time for a takeover was the minute we secured our survival last season? Or was that the point the fat man decided to up his price in typical “loves a flutta” mentality.

SwissSte he should be getting money in from previous years now as well though.

What would be interesting is to see what our actual net spend in based on cash. how much money have we received this window taking into consideration previous sale installments who knows we could have brought in £60m this summer and our net spend is worse then it appears

It’s so depressing when all these clubs are spending and we are treading water. Good luck Rondon!
