    Rafa bingo:

    Dubravka
    Yedlin Schär Lascelles Dummett
    Shelvey Diame
    Ritchie Perez Kenedy
    Muto

I reckon he’ll start Muto rather than Rondon or Joselu – he’s been here for longer so has had more time to integrate and he’s faster and more mobile than Rondon, which will suit the counter-attacking strategy we will probably use against Spurs.

I’m predicting a 2-1 win for the toon tomorrow!

    Tosun,
I couldn’t believe what I was reading! I half expected JazzyP to invite “will die for toon army” for a beer to “discuss” his views on Rafa’s irresponsible player purchases! I would invite him out for a beer myself if not for fact I live on another continent. 😉

You thieving git ! With holding funds from the club so you could buy HOF. I hope it goes tits up for you.

BY USING SPORTS DIRECT TO BUY OUT

Just musing over our squad and would really like to see at least one of the u23’s come through this season, they’d be like new signings if they do. Longstaff, Varney, Fernández or Cal Roberts could all have a chance of making an impact this season having played parts in preseason, and wow what a plus that would be after a muted transfer window!

    Here’s hoping……….

Ah, c-dog, I was ignoring you like one of those flies you get buzzing round your head which after a couple of beers and a peaceful afternoon of sunshine you can’t quite be bothered to swat. Laissez faire and all that. But now you’re just droning on and putting your filthy feet all over the blog, so for the sake of everyone’s sanity, please just buzz off.

I believe that in order to save all those jobs it will take further sustained investment (insert joke here). Let’s not forget he didn’t do due diligence with us.
Of course then there’s the distinct possibility of everyone ‘saved’ being put on zero hour contracts…….

I’d say he’s a long way to go before being hailed a saviour………..not picking a fight just saying it as I see it.

Rafa is a politician and Rafa knows there is no job. he can have job security, fans won’t call for his and 6m@year. Rafa is staying and I know they will resolve their differences. Charnely respects Rafa and I believe they r both under punishment for MA for poor signings. But that will all pharse. After we finish 8th this season

Fair enough mate, let’s hope it does end up being good for the employees as they’re the ones who really matter from day to day. Ashley will still be a multi billionaire regardless.

mac the jaffrey, it would be great to see one or two youngsters progress. We’ll have to see which are sent out on loan before we get an idea of who has a chance, so we may not know until the end of the month who is left behind. I reckon Longstaff, Sterry or Cal Roberts are the most likely to break through this season.

    Not quite, Jib:

“All 59 House of Fraser stores will come under Sports Direct’s control and all 17,000 staff are being transferred on the same employment terms and conditions. However, Ashley’s plans for the business are not clear and it may be that some stores close in the future.” (Grauniad)

What do you infer from this?

“On Friday Sports Direct confirmed it had bought the retailer for £90m in cash with Ashley promising to turn the struggling chain into “the Harrods of the high street” and pledged to keep as many stores open as possible.”
